It was bad, not as stupid as us. Lots of coaches would have gone for it there with a run up the middle.

The stupid part was running right at strength of the Texas D over and over. I would have gone for it too but not run into a brick wall over and over

Kentucky went for it from the 1 bc they didn't have the last possession. We had the last possession anf we threw it with a trash qb that has no business in the sec, so no, they didn't do worse than us

Lebby has a 0.000 winning % in the sec, so remember that when you defend him.

Serious question - when is not winning a sec game a problem for Lebby? Again, croom never went winless in the sec

That's not true at all... at least with me. Do I like it better than the last two years, absolutely. Would I support this in year 3 or 4, of course not. But being this close to 6-1, albeit the losses a result of dumb coaching, I'm hoping for the best.

You don?t deserve an honest answer. You?re entirely too entitled and believe you have all the 17ing answers by firing every ******* body from the university president to the bus drivers every sport we play. There?s no validity to any argument you make because they are all bullshit. It is the same tired ass bullshit every single time day after day year after year. Now politely just 17 off down the road, and when you get the continue to 17 off until you reach somewhere else to 17 off. There, pass me the bourbon.

Hope isn’t a strategy. This encapsulates the main issue with the football program management. No strategy. No plan. Get a coach on the cheap, low ball some players, and hope for the best.

Let me guess, you’re strategy is hope for the best and focus on baseball, right?

No, compete your ass off in football, be decent in basketball and very good in baseball. That?s the plan to stay on this level. We have to get better and compete our ass off in football to stay and get the funds that keep the entire department going.

Kicking a fg from the 1 without the last possession is a horrible decision. Analytics agree with stoops

He’s in tight with baseball boosters. They think baseball will keep us relevant in the SEC and focus all their resources on that. College baseball simply doesn’t register on the same scale as college football when it comes to money or attention.
The 2024 College World Series championship averaged around 2.5 million viewers, while regular-season SEC football games routinely drew far more: Alabama vs. Georgia topped 9 million, LSU vs. Texas A&M hit 7.1 million, and even the Egg Bowl pulled 3–4 million viewers. The College Football Playoff regularly exceeds 20 million. Financially, football fuels the entire NCAA ecosystem. The CFP media deal is worth $1.3 billion per year, while most Division I baseball programs operate at a loss. Mississippi State’s baseball program reported a $3.15 million shortfall in 202. College baseball may be a big deal to State boosters but compared to football’s staggering revenue, reach, and cultural dominance, it’s economically and commercially irrelevant.

1. No one thinks that.
2. We invested less last year and people were pissed off.
3. Most of the shortfall is because of the new stadium and the old seating licenses which will be redone soon and will cost more money.
4. We should invest more in football and can do so without taking from baseball.
