Also, for anyone who doesn't understand what I mean when I say Bo Wallace can throw 40 yard bombs well, but that doesn't mean he has a strong arm- skip to the 3rd and 4 pass Dak completes to Bear Wilson at about the 4:52 mark.

Bo Wallace couldn't make that throw in his wildest dream- if he tried, the ball would have no zip and it would be a pick 6. A 15-20 yard out route from the opposite hash with a guy grabbing you takes WAY more arm strength than an uncontested deep lob... It didn't hurt that the UM DB was woefully out of position either.

What's up with Thor's hammer? I noticed it from the bleachers that night and didn't know if it was something significant or someone just clowning.

Agreed. The throw would end up being short and the WR, at best, would have to come back a couple of yards to get it; were it defended better, it's definitely not a completion from Wallace.

I agree with your overall point as well; it's similar to Manziel, though he has a stronger arm than Wallace. He has great touch on his longer throws, but the zip on his intermediate throws is lacking, and that is key in the NFL. When I think of NFL arm strength, I think of a guy like Aaron Rodgers who throws darts all over the field. You start putting some arc on your 10-20 yard throws, and the defense will adjust.

He also has terrible mechanics. He has to compensate for lack of arm strength, so he ends up chucking everything, and his feet are rarely set and pointed to where he's throwing. He doesn't step into his throws; you can see it clearly on the Whitley pick.

If I'm an Ole Miss fan, considering Freeze has basically been his coach his entire college career, that's somewhat worrisome.
