I'm going to buy. He and his family are going to need for him to be in a system where he can show what he can do and it fits him.

They got their NIL money- next year they need to get their NFL money.

He'll definitely compete. I'm just not sure if he will be ready. It seems like he has a long way to go. Definitely hope he is and I hope he spends the offseason with a QB guru.

Huge sell. Like put the mortgage on it.

If he comes here, KT is gone.

This all day; book it.

If Lebby did that (paid money for Arnold); I'd be ready to fire him.

He would almost have to run the table. He may survive 8-4- meaning only 1 more loss.

So we are looking at UPig/Fla/Aub likely being open so far

On top of everything- Arnold got 2MM to go to Auburn. We give our starting QB in the area of 500K. We cant afford Him.

Candy is paying QB's 2MM and we are here paying the players discount prices

Sell. While I think we would definitely take him, he is not going to be looking to go to a situation where he has to compete for the job.

Honestly, this is one reason I don't want Dan back. He's constantly looking for other jobs. He's already inquired about Arkansas and you know he will reach out about Penn State. He has been at UNLV for one half of a season and he's already shopping himself around and is already on his second DC there.

Could you imagine if we brought him back after Arnett and he was already looking around- we would likely be right back where we were at the end of 2017 but without the long winning season streak.

I'm fine with KT being the guy next year, but I'm also concerned because he has such a long way to go. I'm anticipating a lot of growing pains with him. We really could use a veteran guy that can come in and play some to steady things when he struggles. Kind of like Matt Wyatt and Wayne Madkin in 1999.

Then we need to aim higher than Arnold. We would also have to MASSIVELY overpay to get someone that knew they probably would not be the starter. A guy like Carlos Del Rio Wilson at Marshall or honestly the guy at Washington St, although I think he is out of eligibility.

Agree.

Only way I would consider is for a massive buyout if any school wanted him. That would be a win for MSU if it happened.

Arnold has not looked that great at Auburn, but I think there are some other factors at play there. 100% agree if Lebby feels that Arnold would be the QB we could reasonable get that gives us the best chance to win games then I am all for it. KT has the potential to be a great QB, but from everything I hear the coaches do not believe he is ready to be a starting SEC QB in the near future. Distant future, I think he has the ability to be great if he keeps working hard and developing.

He is but he will most likely lose the job to Taylor. He has too much working against him and his dad will not take to social media and call the coaching staff racist if the staff chose Taylor. I have a feeling Mario Taylor would go on a Twitter barrage akin to some of the stuff DJU dad or the Iamaleava camp tweets out when they are unhappy if Kromenhoek won the job.

Yeah Lebby is gonna have to be careful with his dad. Saw he was already tweeting subliminal stuff the NIU and TN game then tried to walk it back the next day. And this is without his son starting, gotta imagine he gets even louder when KT starts and he doesn?t like a call or game plan. Never understand why parents do this it embarrasses their kids and makes them look foolish.

From everything I have seen and heard from people who were around the situation in HS, it is going to be anything but a nothing burger. Hopefully Lebby and Co. will have a nice chat with the Taylor’s about how things are going to work here. His dad is just a loose cannon wild card. He will openly call out coaches and fans. And be ready, nothing will ever be the fault of Kamario. Kamario is really good and make no mistake he is worth it if he plays to his potential but it will be a pain in the ass nonetheless.

I'm not too worried about his Dad. I'm worried about our fans overreacting to his Dad.

We have too many "17 you then leave and go somewhere else" fans.

Yes, that is a very we are Miss State mentality that keeps us from progressing forward. Same with our fans inability to embrace NIL when it first became a thing. Unfortunately, many of our fans have this line of thinking with things. They don't realize it just continuously holds us back instead of us pulling all in the same direction.

I'll never fully understand why we wasted money on the FSU kid, I guess we needed a backup plan - but man that is money i wish we could have used on an OL and then just signed some JUCO QB for emergency purposes.

Spending the money we did on a 3rd string QB is just not something we can afford to do. I didn't like the signing at the time, and I still dont.

He won't be on the team next year. Book it.

Well, he really isnt the 3rd QB. If Shapen were to go down for any length of time Chicken Hawk would probably play the majority of plays right now. We bring in #1 for his athleticism package but not much else. We dont bring Chicken Hawk in because he is alot more like Shapen and nothing gained by playing him in a package.

Lebby went 2-10 last year and he needed to make sure that he didn?t have another season that bad. He brought him in because he knew that KT was too raw to be an SEC starting QB which would have pretty much guaranteed we would go winless in the SEC. With Shapen being injury prone, we needed a QB that could at least keep us competitive if Shapen went down. Another 2-10 year would have been a disaster for Lebby and even though he is getting a longer leash than most because of the situation he inherited, he needed to spend to be safe. At least winning some games this year he isn?t on the hot seat going into next year which will help with recruiting in the portal for the future.
