Week 6 Prediction Thread-Milkman Cult Edition

After coming off the emotional rollercoaster of last week in about Tuesday, I started really diving into this game. I really believe we are going to give them issues. Their D is BAD and I think we can force them into 3rd and medium-long a good bit. They are 113th in the country in 3rd down conversions. They also are a very highly penalized team, like us. They are pretty highly ranked in total defense but that number is inflated due to Auburn not having an offense. They gave up 24 to UTSA, 22 to Utah St, and 40 to Notre Dame. I think if this thing gets into a shootout we will win because I think we are more like Auburn defensively than Notre Dame.

I picked us to lose earlier in the week but I am changing my pick. We win one for The Pirate against the fake military. Dawgs 41-Aggies 31.

Again, they suck. Their fans suck. They don't have real cheerleaders, what a disgrace to women. Their coach is new and is still trying to surgically implant a backbone into that program. He will leave in a few years because he recognizes the systemic issue of no backbonery. Totally disagree. Their DL is damn good and way better than ours. In spite of playing a much tougher schedule so far- they have 16 sacks to our 7 and almost twice as many TFL's. Our D has played 1 SEC game and given up 41 points- albeit to a very good offense.

I'd also argue- and something we may see tomorrow- that our offense takes a good step back being down 2 OT's

It's going to come down to 3 things:

1. Can we take away the run and make Reed beat us? We did a great job of neutralizing Tyson against ASU, we need to do the same to Craver.

2. Can we play clean, i.e. cut down on the penalties.

3. Can we establish the run and break contain on their DEs.

If we can do 2 of those 3 we can win.

Well. Last week we were pretty close. We averaged out to lose 30-41 we lost 41-34

This week we are averaged to win 30-29. If that is the case. I will not be sitting the whole game and my average heart rate the whole time would be 150.
