OT Coin toss Question

So we win the coin toss and elect to go on defense. I assume that TN gets to choose which end of the field to go on offense. They naturally choose the open end away from our closed end with our students in front of their main body of fans, (although the entire East side was Knoxville South). If we had chosen offense first, do they choose which end to play on? If so, the open end of our stadium is a distinct disadvantage for us in playing any OT game.

We had three choices (1) play defense first (2) play offense first (3) select the end of the field. So if we had chosen to play offense, they would still have gotten to select which end of the field.
