Only one win has been by more than 3 points.

The only other comparable stadium he played at - he lost by 46 to Clemson.

It might - just might - have something to do with the fact that all those games came at Appalachian State.

But they are practicing with cowbells pumped in.****

Also if I am reading the defensive stats right we have the #26 defense and Tennessee is #85.

I guess we are going to find out in about 50 hours. He was a lot better on the road in 2023 than 2024 but that went for his entire 2024 season. He was statistically a better QB in 2023. I guess if you want to take the optimistic approach, in his one non home game this year his completion percentage was 57.1. In his 3 home games his completion percentage has been 69.7. It truly is just going to come down to can we get pressure and rattle him early. They will try to ease him into it and give him some easy throws early and establish the run.

We have 5 sacks in 4 games- 3 of those games were against doorknob teams. We just dont get pressure. Tenn has only allowed 2 sacks this season so far.

On the other hand, Tenn has gotten to the QB 15 times already this season. Unfortunately we have allowed 6 sacks to this point.

I just dont like our chances

That's 1 more sack than UGA.
They had a total of 1 against TN

But Tenn got to Georgia 4 times- thats the concern. Them getting to us 6-7 times

They won’t get close to Shapen. We have the human holding penalty Luke Work.

Personally, I think we have a better shot at beating UF and Texas as our 2 wins to get to a bowl game as opposed to the other 5 that have explosive offenses. Maybe it?s past trauma of never being able to win games we have to get into a shootout with the other team since we never win those games. Hopefully this year is different but we just always seem to come out better when we play a more defensive oriented team with a not so great offense.

As much as I?d like to believe we will rattle Joey I just don?t believe it?ll happen. The kid was solid between the ears against UGA, I know it was at home, but he stepped up every time UGA put the pressure on.

Unless our defense magically transforms overnight and gets some pressure, I just don?t see him panicking

This is my concern as well. Defensively, we just don't have an edge guy that scares you. Pressuring the QB has been a real struggle for us. And on the other side, can we keep Shapen clean? And it's not just about sacks. Pressures matter. Guys in the quarterbacks space, making him throw it away, making him move off of this spot, making him get happy feet.

Not here to argue if we will or not. Just posting statements of fact out of context to feed the delusional hope.

We're 4-0 in games and ATS.

Tennessee hasn't won in Davis Wade since 2007.

We won a natty in baseball before they did.

Why is hope delusional? We gave up 33 on the road to them last year with the worst D in program history. Aguilar is good but Jesus Christ some of you have elevated him to be the Heisman front runner.

That is what is the problem with our idiotic fanbase. Some of you are such big pussies that you live to shit on our program regardless.

He is tied for 3rd in the country in passing TD's. Tenn's worst scoring game of the year was vs Georgia- 41 points. He's pretty damn good

Agreed, UT DL >>> State OL and UT OL >> State DL.

It'll be the 2nd half where as our linemen get tired that UT will be able to take advantage and widen the gap on the scoreboard. But I 100% hope I'm wrong.

I mean I set it on a tee for him. I'm impressed he actually dribbled it off thirty yards almost into the fairway. :)
