It just occurred to me that Ole Miss should have gone with a Catfish instead of a bear as their mascot. For one, a catfish is more relevant to MS. But most of all, their football program is the ultimate catfish and has been for years.

Think about it, they are like an old lady that was pretty good looking when she was young back in the 60's, but now she's a wrinkled up 68 year old bag. She goes in the media posting pictures of herself as a 20 year old knock out, but then when recruits jump on board, out walks an old lady. These players they get, are sold on being a part of a traditional program but when they arrive they realize that Vaught, Archie, and an easy assed schedule that avoided the Bear...has been replaced by Hugh Fraud, Bo INT Wallace, and a SEC schedule. Those 5 star guys are finding out what it's like to play for a team with a ceiling of 8 wins right now, and I guarantee they aren't nearly as excited as when they were getting blown at the library with rolled up hundies in their pockets.

The Ole Miss University Catfish.

Someone call Nev.

It's funny you say that. They were at one time called the mudcats.

When I think about Catfish (besides fried), I think about the dude (calls himself Catfish) that steams shrimp (fire, BTW) at Bozo's in The 'Goula. I can get on board, though - Catfish looks like he's 68...

I think of that lame mtv show that I complain about until my wife agrees to change the channel.
