As a saints' fan, I've been keeping up with who is expected to go 1st this draft. If the saints were to take manning or klubnik, I'd burn the super dome down

I don't think there's a QB I'd take #1 right now in college. No one is moving me.
Edit: Mateer is probably who I'd take if forced. He needs to show me a little more smarts but I had him penciled as preseason Heisman.

Somebody come up with some "Arch Who?" shirts for when they come to Starkville.

Honestly, if the Saints draft first, I think Nussmeier could be the selection,

Looks like Sam Leavitt without Jordan Tyson.
tu fans were booing him. 10 straight incompletions at one point. tu has way more talent and could run the ball all the way down the field and win today, but that's not gonna work in SEC play.
that game is soooooo gettable for us

Just proof it's better to have a great off coach in college than a great qb. In pro, it's different

Transfer from DII National Champs - Ferris State.
Threw for 2900 yards and 26 TDs last year. Strong under the radar pick up.

He had a 44% completion rate today. I don’t think he’s as advertised.

That game isn't scaring me right now. I think we can beat TX at home.

They?ll switch quarterbacks before long.

We don?t need to do that. If your old enough, you know how that turned out.

Didn't he play in a private school type league in HS?

I don't think they can. Terrible situation they've gotten themselves into. Sark won't be able to bench the Manning. He has to hope for an injury or for Arch to ask for a transfer.

It was bad. Like real bad. His competition was about like us playing Alcorn this week. Actually worse.

Isidore Newman. Same school Eli and Peyton went to. I remember some of the New Orleans sports guys saying that he was no Eli or Peyton.

Arch is 21 years old and has the pressure of the world on his shoulders. He's going to have growing pains. Hell Dak is the best QB in school history and couldn't hit the broad side of the barn until about his 4th or 5th start. It's plainly obvious the expectations were far too lofty and honestly maybe that's why Archie has been so adamant that Arch would not be entering the 26 NFL draft. He's watched enough QBs to know.

Archie and the whole Manning family are very calculated. They understand quarterback development and they will always put their family in the best possible situation. See Eli with the Chargers/Giants. People forget that Eli redshirted and then was the back up for a year.

I think if they sit Arch he will transfer- maybe to Ole Miss. Although I don't think their family is real high on Kiffin. If Kiffin goes it may become more of a possibility.

There are a couple of good teams in the Catholic League in NOLA but Isadore Newman isn't usually one of them. Archbishop Rummel and John Curtis are usually the best.

Newman isn't Catholic. Neither is John Curtis. Rummel, Jesuit, Clarks Alma Marta, Bro Martin, Holy Cross and St Aug are Catholic. But they are all Private.

Most likely would transfer to UGA. They were second in the recruitment and they like Kirby a lot. The family is not big on Kiffin at all. It's probably too much of a stretch to say they hate him, but they are definitely not fond of him.

Correct. Sometimes they are all in the same league though and play each other. Don't forget De La Salle and Archbishop Shaw!
John Curtis is Baptist.

That would make some sense. But I kind of wonder if Georgia will want Arch. I'm not sure the Manning name is worth much if the guy is a bust but maybe so. If he leaves Texas it's a bad look for Texas.

It's a much worse look for Texas and Sark losing him than it would be for UGA and Kirby taking him. Sark is supposed to be this genius schemer and QB whisperer and him not being able to mentor and guide a perceived can't miss prospect, whether you believe he's that or not, is a black mark on his resume to say the least.
However, I don't think that'll happen. He'll get creative and scheme Arch some easy throws to get him in the rhythm from now on. I think that's been one of the problems they've had early on. I don't think Sark has schemed or scripted very well early on in the first couple of games. It's more shot plays than quick hitters to be able to get in rhythm. They also will go for it at weird times and it looks like Arch is trying to force throws in those situations.
