We know Steen is out for the year. Where are we with Luke Work and Jimothy Lewis? And what's the word on Jayvin James, who went from not playing at all against USM to starting at left tackle against Arizona State?
State's participation chart shows that Luke played against Arizona State. How much did he play? I didn't notice him and we seemed to keep the starting group out there other than a rotation at left guard. Lewis didn't play, according to participation chart.
I'm sure we'll rest/protect some guys against Alcorn. But I'm hoping our best 5 available can get at least a drive or two together to try to build some cohesion and push in the running game.

Steen is out for the year. Luke and Jimothy both dressed last week, and Luke even played, not much but I saw him out there for 10-15 snaps. If we would've needed him, Jimothy could've played as well.
Jayvin James was a really nice surprise for the staff the way he battled out there and he has made it an interesting battle. I still think Jimothy will be the LT when we ramp things up in two weeks against Tennessee.

Read the same in a free article regarding OL participation on genespage. I think Work and Lewis will play a prominent role when they get over these reported minor injuries, especially in SEC games. On a side note, it is also very refreshing to me to see two young HS recruits like them already contributing at a very high level in today's out of control, no transfer rules portal world. I actually know their names, numbers and faces, a real exception these days.

We need to figure out the rotation asap. Imperative that group gets snaps together and cohesion. Our running game has been meh and it has to get better.
Should do so with some continuity up front.
