Miss. State Women's Basketball 2025-26 Schedule Released

Appears a good non conference schedule for this particular team. Non conf highlighted by a trip to Lubbock to play Texas Tech and Pittsburgh comes to Starkville. Miss. State has a good opportunity in both of these games. All of the rest of non.conf Miss. State is very capable of running the table on but will need to close the deal in these games on the court....one game at a time., no overlooking teams because of not being big names.

Miss. State was recently in attendance at a Lawrence Central HS workout featuring class of 2026 #20 ESPN Lola Lampley and her teammates. Saw coaches Sam Purcell and Anita Howard. Few other teams were in attendance as well. She's the sister of current Miss. State freshman Jaylah Lampley. Basketball aside the Lampley family appear to be nice people..I notice these things.

Additional note...Fairly tough looking first game (Starkville MS) for Miss. State against a Davidson team that took #22 NC State to the buzzer last season. No doubt Coach Purcell will bring this to his team's attention. They have solid front court players, also see some big guards on that roster. Plenty of time for Davidson to prepare a game plan. Miss. State's coaching staff will need to have this squad prepared as well, ready to go game 1 ... 2025-26 season opener. Miss. State is definitely the better team in this game but can't overlook this team. Kinda like the men's football team not overlooking Southern Miss earlier, and the Northern Illinois team this week.
