Hell Caleb Odom had to move to TE to get snaps. Cunningham won't be getting snaps this year. I wouldn't be shocked at all to see him in the portal because one thing about Kiffin, he's going to recruit a whole new crop of receivers next year, either by portal or HS.

Agreed that Kiffin will always be trying to recruit over you. But honestly, that's his job. That's just life in general. I told the folks that hired me on day 1, "Your job is to search every day for somebody better than me. My job is to make sure that no such person exists"

Our young guys aren't getting much play at WR either. All 3 starters are transfers. But, then again, we don't have any 5 stars HS WR recruits sitting on the bench either.

The difference is I expect to see some of them against Alcorn. Cunningham to my understanding did not play against Georgia State or at the very least didn't record any stats against them.

There’s no guarantee he would be getting playing time at MSU either but that’s what happens with these guys. Just because you have 4 or 5 stars behind your name doesn’t guarantee you anything. If he can’t see the field at scUM, he would have been buried DEEP at Alabama.

Just like a lot of people suspected. scUM “won the day” at his signing and somebody else is going to be getting a stud receiver in a year or 2 down the road.

did caleb cunningham play any this past weekend? I didn't get to watch many games, but it doesn't appear he played any after looking at their website. I mean, he was the #1 WR recruit in the country and he's barely played at OM? Is he in the doghouse? How does the #1 WR in the country not get any snaps?

Yes, I do think the #1 WR in the country would have gotten many snaps here at MSU three games into the season.

For all the hand wringing about his recruitment, we are entering year 2 and beyond having a great name, i've haven't seen shit.

Also, its good to feel something again about MSU football. I thought i was retired from both MSU football and ED.

Stonka switched positions to S, which he should've been all along and is now having to learn an entirely new position. Most likely he will R/S. Our 24 WR class is literally down to Ricky Johnson and Sanfrisco Magee, who were the lowest rated receivers we signed.

You think he RS? That is surprising. He has played in two games already.

I'll tell you this, if he is RS, he will be the highest paid player RS this year on our team. We stepped up a few years ago to keep him from leaving Starkville.

Hopefully it will be worth it in the long run as he learns to play safety.
