This is already an Elitedawg motto- but needs to be motto for the bowl game. We need 50 rushing attempts in the game

With our offensive line and RB stable + Dakbow, this needs to be the motto for every game.....

If we can get 20 people to commit to them- we probably can. RTGDF on the front with the Elitedawg logo on the pocket area or back?

Guessing cost would be about $18-20....Who's in?

EliteDawg's logo on the pocket area, RTGDF on the back. I'm not a fan of big graphics on the fronts of t-shirts. Maybe I'm in the minority.

You would probably sell a ton more if you changed it to #RTDF. I may be in the minority, but I'm not a fan of "GD", and wouldn't want to explain that to people that ask me what it means.

But that's just my opinion..and Im definitely not one to judge anybody for getting one with RTGDF on it.

Internet t-shirt sales aren't a good investment in my experience. they're good for promotions though or selling on-site somewhere.

I'm not a fan of using "GD" on a regular basis either, but if you have to explain it to someone you can just say "Run The Gosh Damn/Dang Football". Not that big of a deal.

RTGDF > RTDF

much better ring to it, I wouldn't be interested in a shirt with "RTDF"

However, RTGDF -- I'd definitely buy one if it was done by someone who has experience making shirts. That is, if it looks good. I kinda like the hashtag version #RTGDF too.

The RTDGF text looks decent. How about it with a hashtag? Not a fan of the nearly invisible stuff below RTGDF.

Make sure all twitter/facebook mentions of anything related to MState Football, or the Liberty Bowl, have the #RTGDF attached. Flood it, and make it trend...

Agreed. Never have been a fan of GD. Don't mind cussing, I do it some myself, and MSU football and cussing seem to go together quite well. But I don't like seeing the Lord's name taken in vain. Plus much easier and less risque to explain RTDF than RTGDF. I can see the backlash if certain people get wind of it. Also, just my opinion.

blacklistedbully
12-17-2013, 09:26 PM
I also don't like taking the Lord's name in vain, but as others have pointed out, the initials can stand for "Run the Gosh Darn Football". Gosh darn is a commonly accepted phrase used by good Christians, so having the initials on the shirt should not be automatically considered to be the "Name-in-vain" version.

Oh, and I've got a couple ideas for a shirt or 2 I'm working on. Will post it here when I've got prototypes.

I like the underscore regardless. Added for no other reason than that. As far as the grey lettering below, it is meant to be secondary and subtle compared to the #rtgdf.

I won't be buying one. I've got an 11 year old girl and 13 year old boy. What example does that set for anyone to wear a shirt with using the Lords name in vain? And then the charity thing is a great idea, but you are gonna donate to Toys for Tots with a GD on a tshirt? That just ain't right either. But that's my opinion.
