First off I like the guy. But I don't understand any hype around him being the head man. Outside of winning with Tony Dungy's players his record as a head man is pretty subpar. Is there something that I am missing? Personally let Bama take him, they would over pay for probably the same outcome that they are currently getting.

Bama will hire Kiffin because of his recruiting/portal success. They ain't hiring Gruden.

I?m still not real sold bama would hire kiffin just yet. He still hasn?t made a playoff and underachieved last year. Now if he goes to the playoff this year and wins a game which is possible that would be a different story, but outside of that I think they would look for someone with more post season success

Dabo Swinney might be the guy they call first. He is an Alabama alum also.

I am thinking LK will win tomorrow, "we shall see said the Zen Master....” Charlie Wilson’s War

I also agree I do not now or ever have I seen the draw for Gruden....

I think getting Gruden would be like getting Prime Time as your head coach.

I know Gruden can coach. But my big concern would be recruiting. I think the last time he had to recruit was when he was at Tennessee in the 1980's.

If MSU had an opening I'd be all for hiring Gruden.

This is correct. And he is also a pretty public figure and he knows how Saban did things.

There's two programs that have no problem hiring a coach with baggage, OM and the Barn. Kiffin will probably only leave OM for about 5 other college programs, or the NFL, so likely he's back next year.

Yep. LK would be a done deal if they fire DeBoer.

IDK. Lame is going to be very selective. If the job opens at the end of the season, the Saban smell sill be on it. Saban needs to be gone five years, with just mediocre success in those five years.

Was talking to some Bama people tonight including one familiar with the finances and he said that Bama isn't as rich as some might think they are, Plus Gruden is the odds on favorite to be there next coach.

I hope that's what they do. 8-4 to 9-3 Bama is beautiful. Let's keep it that way.
