They will have to prove it which I am assuming it was between him and a buddy so nothing to see

If my Venmo descriptions were public I would be in a world of hurt too

Not judging anybody's Venmo stuff but betting on college football as a college football player is big shit. There arent many rules left- but this is one

He will be starting Week 1. It is a bad look but there would need to be a lot of groundwork and digging to prove any validity to this.

And I'm sure some rich Texas boosters will help out

He made himself look really guilty by immediately deleting his Venmo account! Had he just blown it off that he was just "messing around with a buddy" that the payments were really for a dinner or something like that, he might've been okay because it would've been really hard to prove, but when you start acting guilty...you probably are

In this day and age of constant tracking, surveillance and data mining, why would anyone put what a payment was for? Even if it is just tacos. Just put random text or a period in the required comment section.

It was his sports pysch PHD paper on the evils of players betting on games. The forward of the paper was seconded by Pete Rose and Jamarcus Russell.

He released a statement that said as much. That it was a joke. We will see what comes of it. I suspect nothing.

Absolutely nothing will come of it.

I think OK is better than people think.
The Mississippi people are counting that as a win. Need to pump the brakes.

Kids joke in the comment section of Venmo, saying things like "Butt Stuff", "Secret Kiss", "Tender Massage", etc.

Only thing you can't say is "Iranian Special Delivery" or "Overthrow of Government Recurring Donation"

I tag all my paypal and venmo transactions with "reimbursement."

Michigan got caught red handed in the biggest cheating scandal in CFB and nothing happened to them.

I use cash and don’t have to worry about this stuff.

They had to fire their HC. Harbaugh left to avoid the show cause and time off

Uh, pretty sure the took a promotion to the NFL, he's now HC of the Chargers. That like a HS coach getting "fired," then hired as the HC at Bama.

He won the natty (coached the game) and two weeks later we as an NFL HC. He was not fired at Michigan.

Really Clark?

He wasn't fired because he had NFL options but he would have been at MI. He has a show cause against him until 2028 and any college who attempts to hire him has to suspend him for his first full year.

He still got the show cause, he didn't avoid the penalty it's just not relevant.

We're splitting hairs here. He left Michigan because he was going to get the show-cause and be suspended for the 25 season with no pay. Instead of doing that- he went to the NFL. Michigan was penalized for their scam and it cost them their HC.

He left to avoid the show cause and your example is a poor one. Top SEC coaches make more than 2/3 of the NFL head coaches. I'd much rather be the HC at Bama or Georgia than coach the Saints or Browns- regardless of salary
