One of the beat guys asked about "boundaries" for Briles around the program. Could not tell who.
Lebby handled it well though.

Pretty sure it was the CL guy

It was the CL guy who took the video and tried to make the moment go viral. He keeps trying to bring it up and Lebby and, to their credit and to the shock of me, the administration hasn't taken the bait.

What is to go viral? Briles has never been convicted of a crime. Hell, I would make him Offensive Coordinator.

I will add.... Bama's coaches knew one of his players was a willing contributing factor in the MURDER of a woman, yet that entire staff kept on working and the player was a first round pick in the NBA draft the following months.

Is the CL guy an OM alum?

Nope. He's a Michigan St guy from Detroit. No ties to MS until he was a USM beat reporter for the Hattiesburg American and then moved onto the State beat for the CL.

The CL guy Sam Sklar keeps bringing it up and talking about how it's not okay. He's now had 2 articles on it and shortly before that he wrote an article on how AJ Brown received death threats after not coming to State. He's clearly either trying to push a narrative, or is just trying to write rage-bait crap. How do these guys not realize that if they would just write good articles about our team, that people would be interested and read and come back?

Because they know that print media is on it's last legs so instead of writing good well thought out articles they just want to go with stuff that will get clicks.

Here's a thought. Instead of denying access to In-Laws, deny access to any media that writes negative press about the program. 🤷🏻*♂️

And we have fans that wonder why MSU doesn't give the media more access.
