my following of the SEC is done. They have destroyed the best conf in NCAA. Yes they will be the biggest and still win the most but as every team being able to participate and get decent coverage; its over.

TX, UO, Mizz, TAMU etc. they ain't SEC and neither are any more that join. USC and Ark I can handle and they fit. Conf was maxed out after USC and Ark. Stankey not only destroyed NCAA sports but the SEC too.

I used to watch the SECN a lot when the core teams were on there. MSU got decent coverage. Now all you get is blue bloods and with so many teams even then just not enough air time to make it worth watching. I only watch MSU games on there and that is it.

While I understand the whole super conference thing for money, I agree with you 100%. There is nothing SEC about Missouri, aTm, Texas, or OU. We are a diluted conference now and teams like us are lost in the mix.

Yeah my post wasn't about stopping it just how bad things have degenerated the past 5 years.

I have watched what I want for most of my adult life.

They have not only ruined college sports, they destroyed the best conf in American - SEC

My hope is that all these have not schools like us soon start playing in complete empty stadiums and the viewership on tv goes way down. Maybe then they will fix this ridiculous system we have presently.

The have schools will always be able to afford to buy the “BEST” players. They will usually win more than they lose thus drawing fans. Drawing fans equals more money.

Since the NCAA has let it become all about money I am removing my money from college football. Not only am I removing my Bulldog club contribution which had gotten rather high, I removing my expense of driving 5hrs round trip to Starkville thus hurting the Starkville economy, I am removing purchases of season tickets for football, I am for sure not going to watch this bull #$&* on tv.

Yes I know I am just one person and my little bit won’t make that big of deal but if millions of fans start doing this it I believe it wil force change. Remember there are a lot more of have not universities than they have universities. The silent majority!

Every fan counts and especially the long time loyal ones. The fairweather fans make no difference, most are already gone.

I waited till last minute to buy my tickets this year - said I wasn't but I'm one more year in - my youngest is a senior at MSU this year so I'll go in for one more year. After this I'm probably done.

When the SEC expands to 20 teams they'll probably divide things up in divisions again. And guess who will be in MSU's if I had to guess based on a 4 division/5 team format?

Ole Miss
Alabama
Auburn
LSU

That group kind of looks familiar doesn't it?

Yes I have been a loyal supporter for a long time. I like to have just a bit of hope going into a season that we can win more than we lose but this administration has yet shown any glimmer of hope that we can win just one Sec game. Yes Selmon made a homerun hire for our baseball but severely lacks making the common fan (me) feel good or hope for football. Imo Selmon needs to be on any and all media outlets selling our football program back before the season ticket window closed but all I am hearing from him is crickets. Just give the fans hope because all I see is despair.

Yes my granddaughter cheerleader graduating this past spring definitely sealed the no go for us!

College football is trending in the wrong direction. Butts in seats will tell the tale very soon. I think we're going to see a HUGE decline in overall attendance the next few seasons.

I think TV numbers are more important than attendance for the CFB decision makers.

Unfortunately, probably true. But butts in seats are still a big deal to the schools. No one looks good when you tune in and see 15K in a 60K stadium.

The TV product is also much worse but I will still watch and so will everyone else.

It was at it best when there were 12 teams.

I don?t follow like I used to, but I heard a talking head break down the om season. Please Lord.....don?t let it happen. but their schedule really lines up if they only lose two games LSU and Georgia..... they are in the CFP...... Please don?t let that happen.............

And, if they couldn’t get it done with last years team, shirley they can’t with this years team..

Even the most ardent die hard OM fans think their pie in the sky ceiling is 9-3. Saying they just lose at LSU and UGA means that they beat Tulane, Florida, and USCe at home while also going on the road and beating Oklahoma and both us and Kentucky. With a Freshman QB and replacing the defense they had last year, that's just not possible.

They should have capped conferernces at 12. It would have been better for everyone.
