"CFB Home" should stick to football.

lsu wasn’t a factor when all of the other schools in that “blue blood” list were winning and now, half of them aren’t a factor.

Given the parameters of how they made the list I think it?s pretty fair. I would swap CSF and OSU personally

Some of those "blue bloods" are defunct. Monty Python's dead parrots.
USC is past tense. Like Nebraska in Football.
Arizona and Arizona State are now like BYU in Football
Cal State Fullerton is way past tense like Army/Navy in Football
Miami could comeback but I think Ole Miss and Mississippi State are far more viable, the U is private school with few fans.

I kind of agree and disagree that we are new bloods. I agree because we really didn't become a national powerhouse until 1979. I disagree because we have been a blueblood slightly longer than LSU.
To me, the bluebloods in college baseball are in no particular order.
Mississippi State
LSU
Arkansas
Texas
Florida
Florida State
Miami
Clemson
North Carolina
Oklahoma State
USC
Stanford
Arizona State
Arizona
Cal State Fullerton
Oregon State
National Championships are a consideration but not an end all be all. To me, it's more about overall success, fan support, and resources as well as history and to me those schools have all of that or at least that kind of potential.
To me, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Tennessee are kind of on the border there. Some of them have National Championships but they absolutely have to have the right coach and when those teams decline fan support wanes more with those schools. And those programs are somewhat a product of being in the SEC and having to keep up with the Joneses so to speak. Tennessee has the most potential to break through and become a blueblood IMO of this group. I just don't buy that Vanderbilt will be able to win like they have been historically in the changing environment and when Corbin inevitably leaves.

USC being in the Big 10 will help them out a lot. They have a really good coach now too in Andy Stankiewitz- which has been their biggest issue recently IMO. Their success actually probably hurt them recently because at a glance you see 12 National Championships and the casual USC fan I think just assumed that they didn't really have any issues. They won't ever be what they were again but if they can corner the LA market in baseball they could absolutely be as good as UCLA.
Arizona and Arizona State are all in the boat as USC essentially.
Cal State Fullerton has always really been a mid major. They used to have some pretty big boosters though like Kevin Costner that used to help them out a lot. They probably have more baseball fans than USC or UCLA though. There is enough interest there for them to make an informed hire and become pretty good again.
Miami has just had a lot of coaching transition and underperformance. There's a ton of talent in the area though and they have some prominent fans like A-Rod that have helped them out in the past as well. Really they probably just need to reboot their program and they have the ability to attract a top flight coach once they get out of the Jim Morris tree.

Yea, when you've been to the CWS over 20 times like FSU has, you are a Blue Blood, with or without a national championship.

It?s fun to talk about, but that list means nothing in today?s college athletics. How many in the top half of that list are serious about college baseball and the financial aspects of it, two? The others are not committed to it and/or can?t compete with other programs have committed to it.

Yeah - I don't know how you can consider a team with 1 CWS appearance for anything. We played them regularly so a lot of our fans have respect for the program they were.
I've always considered longevity and number CWS appearances as the Blue Blood marker. In my mind, 10 appearances across a 4 decades or more make you a Blue Blood. And, you still need to be competing with an appearance in the last 10 years
So that would make the Top Tier:
Texas, Stanford, South Carolina, Ok St, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Miami, LSU, FSU, UF, Cal SF, Arizona, Arkansas & MS State.
Trending Down (10 apps, 4 decades, no apps since 2015): Arizona St (2010), Clemson (2010), & USC (2001)
Trending Up (5 or more apps, w/app in last 5 years): Auburn, Louisville, Ole Miss, Oregon St, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCLA, UVA.

They used to be good! They eliminated MSU in 1984 with all the 1985 all Americans. I found their golden age by look at LSU records. The UNO guys had more Regionals than MSU and LSU combined until Skip Bertman showed up.
UNO is like the Sewanee of Baseball. Nobody can imagine Sewanee was an SEC school and had some success.

This is basically a list of every school that actually cares about it. the CWS is similar to the Frozen 4. It's always the same teams in it because there are only so many that actually try to excel at the sport. It's pretty similar to college hockey.

Univ of Minn must be recognized for their accomplishments. They have 32 NCAA Appearances, 3 championships and 5 overall appearances in the CWS.. Granted the championships and CWS were in the 50's and 60's; the 32 NCAA appearances, 9 of which were since 2000, show a steady program. Finally having Dave Winfield in your history must account for something.
