UPig seems to rely heavily on the homerun this year for scoring. I watched them beat Creighton in the regional. They hit like 6 home runs (can't remember exactly) but most of them if not all would have just been long outs in Omaha. If the CWS was in Fayetteville, I think they win it all hands down. But thankfully it's not. In Omaha, I think they struggle to score.

It's elimination day in the first game up today. Arizona-Louisville with the loser carrying home the ignominious title of First One Out. Oddsmakers have Arizona as the favorite. Winners bracket game follows featuring Coastal Carolina and Oregon State.

The LF slipping and the ball off the glove of the 2B were just physical issues that were bad luck but the SS throwing to 3rd and not going for the double play at 2nd and first was just a total brain part by him and not easily explainable.

LSU will probably win 5 more. Unlikely USC ever wins another because they just don't have the support with 2 professional teams and another 1 65 miles away. Nobody but UCLA and The directional equivalents out there even care about baseball and even those schools get no fan support. Unfortunately, we have a few dozen State fans who think we just take the same approach to college baseball as the Cal schools do. Spend no money and count on local kids to field your teams in hopes that moms, dads, siblings and girlfriends will show up and buy concessions and T-shirts!😔
