That is realistically the first day anything would officially be announced. I actually appreciate Faulk tempering things a bit last night. Like he said, there is definite interest on O’Conner’s side and things are progressing but it still has a bit of a way to go. Most of our athletic dept decision makers, as well as university decision makers are all down in Destin for the meetings and they will fly directly to Tallahassee. We will not present an official contract until at least next week. We may get some sort of MOU with O’Conner before but as we learned with Schlossnagle, those carry about as much weight as the paper they are printed on.

We're going to have a coach and staff set up and as soon as our season ends this week, we'll have that presser set up rolling out (assuming O'Connor later next week) and we'll hit the boring sports summer knowing Selmon got something else done.

I reality they have known that the timeline has to be this tight due to the portal and the age of the roster. We have to get it done right after the team finishes, next year will be difficult enough like it is. We have enough $$$ to go get a very good roster just need the right staff.

Oh it is 100 percent on them now. And if it was money I would feel confident, but it resources and that is what gives me cause for concern. Resources can be figured out. If he was just wanting a bigger contract we would money whip them into next week. Not because we have more money than UVA, but because we would be willing to go levels that have less than zero desire to go to in terms of salary.
