So it's actually possible for 8 SEC schools to be the Omaha representatives this year based on path. State actually looks to be the "least likely" based on seeding.

Bama / Vandy pod. - Would be stunning if this wasn't an SEC team named Vandy. If the Mustard Buzzards pulled it off, well I wouldn't hate it because **** the bammers and **** the whistler.

Our pod - It's just us. We have the mystery box that is northeastern to start and we play in a softball friendly park. I think the heat can work to our advantage. With our season this was as good of a regional draw as we could have hoped for. On the super regional front, Oregon State would be a tough 3 game series. But if they lose - then we likely get the super host and that feels like we're onto Omaha.

OU in the UNC/Oregon Pod. I just don't see any way OU pulls this off. Would be two amazing weeks from them to do it. They got a worse draw than we did.

Auburn/Florida pod. I think Florida has to carry the water here. Auburn is overrated and will lose the Super to whomever they're paired with imo.

Texsa pod - Easiest pod of 8. Would be embarrassing if tu doesn't make the CWS.

OM / Georgia Pod - it says OM is 10 seed but that is one nasty regional. Georgia on the other hand has a great setup. I think it's Georgia vs. GT and Georgia wins that series. But if OM survives the regional then they're likely winning the Super. Unless Bianco just wrecks a kids arm to win the regional (likely)

LSU / Kentucky - Kentucky really has no business being in the tourney. I think Clemson/LSU combine for 6-0 here in regional play. DBU isn't as scary this year. LSU at home feels like they can win the super pretty handily.

Ark / Tenn pod - Tenn could flounder in their regional. Ark is known to pull a random choke. But I think both handle business and we get a toxic super that could go either way. Unfortunately if they make this super, the saturday game for it might threaten our attendance record stranglehold agenda.

All in all I'd say this is the order of easiest to most difficult to having an sec team make it:

Vandy/Bama
Texsa
Ark/Tenn
LSU / Kentucky
OM / Georgia
Florida / Auburn
State
OU

6 teams feels more likely than not.

It will be a 6 to 8 SEC team CWS. But frankly more fun to think about a 1-SEC CWS with MSU only. I'm already tired of the same teams all the time. It's getting like the College Playoff. Every year the same teams, at least they added nuisance teams like SMU, Indiana, and Arizona State as speed bumps. Still super boring.

(a) Louisville over Vandy
(b) MSU over FSU/ORSU
(c) Oregon over UNC/OU
(d) NCState over Auburn/Florida

(e) UCLA over Texas
(f) GT over OM/UGA
(g) West Virginia over Clemson/LSU
(h) Kansas Bandits over Arkansas/Tenn

There was no good old days here, used to be Texas, Miami, Florida State, and Arizona State... every year... with FSU crying in the dugout every year.

The solo MSU CWS would be funny. But man, that jell-o shot place would rake it in if they got a Bammer/State/OU/Auburn/LSU/Tenn/Texsa/OM final 8. That's almost their best case scenario. Maybe swap Aggy in for Tennessee is about the only high 8-team profit.
