Can we make a list of assistants. 7 of the 14 SEC Head Coaches (Lemons included as a prior HC) were Assistants. But for guys hired in the 2020s (SEC Domination Era) 5 of the 7 hired were Head Coaches. So, assistants used to be the norm but today, the coaches are not assistants.
