Another disappointing series in 2025 as we are likely looking at a coaching change this summer. Things I/We watched and wondered:

Why keep Pico de Gallo on the mound at 110 pitches once he had gotten the two lefties out? Trying to steal outs and paid for it

He should have been asked and forced to answer why stevens didnt get an AB this weekend. Rosey is usually pretty good at asking questions and surprised he didnt. Plus we all know Jones/Faulk/Pizza Guy never travel with the team

Why do we pick Sunday to start Cupp at 2B in possibly the most important game of the season to play for the 1st time in 2 weeks when we could have kept hitting juco against a Righty where he has done a solid job?

Auburn abused the shift all weekend- why keep doing it on Sunday? We had had 2 days of them taking advantage yet did it again.

Why just start matching up with the bullpen on Sunday? Where was that shit on Fri/Sat? Holy crap we are so reactive in this program.

Backs against the wall from here on out. Good luck

Why on earth are the relief pitchers starting the game in the dugout when you know a Sunday game is likely a bullpen day?

I know that Sanders was sick today and Stevens hasn't been 100% for awhile especially since the Alabama series.

Lemonis doesn't really help himself by not explaining certain things. And yes, I know ALL ABOUT HIPAA. There are also ways around it. Just come out and say that Sanders and Stevens aren't available.

Pitching match ups- he can't manage a pitching staff. Same shit every year. Remember Trysten Barlow and Riley Self over Colby White in Omaha? Nothing has changed. He can only manage a staff if he has Superman as his closer in Landon Sims.

At this point in the year- you almost have to treat every game like a travel ball bracket game - kid don?t have it - next guy up and quick

Aren't we talking about the same staff that hasn't figured Stone Simmons out?

Lemonis discussing injuries or illness is not a violation of HIPAA. College coaches discuss injuries with the media all the time. However, are more open to it, some don?t do it at all.

I am starting to think Justin Parker is a snake oil salesman.

I am starting to think Justin Parker is a snake oil salesman.

Or maybe he had two front line SEC DUDES last year and doesn't this year. I don't think Parker has changed any. We just don't have the talent. I mean even last year once it got past Stephen or Cjintje it was an adventure. Now we don't have those two covering up a lot. We missed on portal pieces and whether you blame Parker or Lemonis for that it doesn't matter. We evaluated bad on some of these kids and missed on portal pieces and made bad evaluations on a couple, Jacob Pruitt being the most obvious example.

We scored 26 runs last weekend and lost 2 out of 3. We scored 29 runs this weekend and lost 2 out of 3. It wasn't just the portal pitcher evaluations that sucked. It was the entire recruiting of pitchers over the last 4 years outside of Jurrangelo that was an abject failure. As for Stephen from last year, that was a shot in the dark that actually worked! But even a blind squirrel occasionally runs up on an acorn!

Here's the thing tho- we aren't devoid of talent on the mound. Pico, Davis, Williams, Ligon will all be drafted in July. Somebody takes a flyer on Simmons very likely also. Could Siary get picked? Dunno but possible. Black? Depends on his health

We have talented freshmen yet it seems like other teams are more able to get theirs ready quicker than we do for some reason. Cant blame the offense. We are scoring runs. Some shaky D hurt Ligon early on but he still got beat on. Never seen a pitcher so happy to come out of a game as he was yesterday

Todd predicts an Omaha run seemingly every season so it?s not just Lemons that misidentifies talent

This is should be a season long of WTF. It’s been this way forever. It almost always feels like a lack of confidence in his own decision making ability which leads to paralysis by over analysis.

We will find out who was really making in-game pitching decisions, because Parker has been named interim.
