I know people come to State as a training ground to go elsewhere, but while you are here, do things right.

Things like that big bell falling over, the app never working right, no marketing for spring game? all that is bush league and show lack of care.

We have to demand they do their jobs with a sense of urgency and requirement to do it well.

Right now they are severely lacking in my opinion.

They are running a church league athletic departments

They get paid a lot. Demand excellence !

Our NIL effort also lacking.

What we should do
- be creative and find ways that every person can give money and promote that hard , as well as go to big money peoples

What we do
-go to big money donors

Lacking effort , garbage.

We can all just sit here and wait for Elon Musk to become a State fan I guess.

The coaches don?t want the spring game and rightfully so.

It allows other coaches to scout improvement of individuals and make a play for them to transfer. This drives up your NIL budget.

Times are changing and we are behind the times on something?s but inline with others.

Be a dynamic thinker instead of a static thinker.

Yeah, do 7 on 7 drills. Play with Frat Boys, not like people are watching the game. It's all Alcohol.

Last game I went to, my son kept me in the chick-fil-a line.

When it comes to NIL, you can't out-bid Crazy why not let Alabama and Ohio State people donate their houses, estates, 401ks, and Stock Options for backup QBs and then just laugh at the idiots.

No doubt that Keith Carter and company are running circles around us as they are ahead of us in most all team sports now. For the school year out of 16 SEC teams we are 16th in football, 9th in MBB, 10th in WBB and currently 14th in baseball. At least softball is sitting 6th at the moment so kudos to them.

?We dont have enough money so we cant compete. So quit trying, there is no point.?

I do believe the revamp should include the top tier. Still not sure about Selmon but nothing impressive thus far.

Ha, Ha. That is what I been saying. OM and others sell their soul for what? A cheesy bowl game but nothing to show for it. I'll sit back and watch everyone grip and complain when their investments yield nothing and I'll still have a little money. Most of these players will just piss it away in a year or two and then be back looking for work later. The whole thing is a sham. Fed, I guess us engineers are just too rational in thinking.

I agree, you don't have to spend 30 mil to win. Anyone know what Ariz St. spent to make the playoffs this past year? Bet is wasn't much.

I agree and have believed this for a long time. The baseball and basketball stats on the hailstate site are usually wrong. Someone has to be held accountable. And I could go on and on. Our employees are not competing at a high level every day. They aren’t.

I have repeatedly preach this same message. Demand excellence from the top of the athletic administration down to the water boys. Be very proactive, think outside the box and be very vocal about it. Our coaches are very seldom on sports talk radio shows doing interviews. Our athletic director is basically never heard from and made a very lazy hire for football. Yet us average fans are supposed to just poor money into nil Bulldog club for football and baseball for a terrible product on the field.

Yeah, not giving a dime to this NIL. I just don?t care anymore. We couldn?t compete before NIL and we cannot compete with NIL. I might as well keep my money because I cannot fire a player or coach that pisses me off after I ?donate? my money.

People keep saying Lebby was lazy hire but he was a premier OC in a P5 conference and nobody wanted this job. There was nothing lacy about it, most of our fans were drooling over him when he was at OM.

You can?t laugh about this when it?s true. Just the other day, Kiffin was on a nationally known podcast (The Pivot). Things like this make an impact, no matter how small. Small schools can compete even in today?s landscape, but your marketing has to be on point. We haven?t had strong marketing since Byrne and Stricklin. Hell, the majority of people, even the blue hairs, know about hashtags, and we were one of the first to paint one in our end zone. No matter how much we hate the social media age, it?s needed now. And a balance can be found between those that like today?s age of media and those that don?t.

I agree. Unfortunately, it would cost so much more money for us to have a chance to win anything. Way more money than we're willing to admit. Meanwhile we are frozen in time. Watching the world go by.

Kiffin was just on a podcast that interviewed the current POTUS. Our PR people aren’t even in the same league as OM. We’re too busy hoping the coach will join Pinelake and saying we’re morally superior.

Selmon isn't the answer. He won't be here in 18 months. He doesn't compete at his job. We have too many office workers showing up at 8:00 and leaving at 5:00. We aren't handling the details. The department isn't efficiently run. And nobody has the balls to fix it. There has to be a fire, an expectation, accountability, work ethic, and a desire to compete on a daily basis at everything that you do. We aren't getting it done.

You're wrong on most of that. My only complaint with is the shitty marketing and the ticket setup for football. But you can call his office and he'll get with to discuss your concerns if you want to. He's easy to catch up with.

Selmon and Lebby and Purcell all inherited shit shows. You know who didn't? Lemonis and Jans
You know who does their job with less than everybody in the SEC and never complains? Ricketts
It's going to take time to get a lot of shit fixed from the messes we had here. Selmon may leave in a couple years, but he'll need to show he's done something if he wants a bigger job. Purcell ain't going to make it IMO. Lebby is a wait and see but he's got time and probably wins 4-5 this year. Fund raising is doing well, BC is reorganized, Lemonis is a dead man walking. Once the settlement shakes out, we'll start doing some things differently. College athletics is a damn train wreck regardless, and it's got to be fixed or it's dead too. People aren't going to give crazy money away and attend games with this shit. They'll keep their money and watch at home and State won't be alone there.
