Same thing we have seen from Geautreau batters for 3 years! No plate discipline. If they make up their mind they are going to swing at the next pitch, they are going to do it, no matter how far off the plate it is. They don't hit breaking balls because they don't swing at breaking ball strikes! And I'm not talking about K's. Not many k's this weekend. But Powell and Reeves were examples there. Some times you just have to take pitches and if the ump calls you out on a breaking ball 5 inches off the plate, tip your cap to the ump and walk to the dugout.

6 pitchers and 9 runs allowed. Even less of them earned. This team has the talent to go on a run. And a deep one if two-three pitchers just find "IT" like they found the past two weekend.

Saturday/Sunday hitting was a bit disappointing but Stevens/Highfill back in the lineup turns us into super gorilla ball.

No errors throwing the ball to 1st base the last 2 weekends helps out greatly. Also putting a reliable leadoff hitter in helps the cause.

MSU used only 7 pitchers this weekend. With Hungate only tossing 1.2 innings. So really 6 arms did the work.

Just a number, but shows strength in long relief.

Simmons, Davis, and Williams gave no reason to be pulled early. Davis did have a rough 7th inning in Game-2, two runs and mound visit. But if you only score 1 run, chances of winning are bad anyway
