Hate to see it, but NIL will drive early quits. Let's say he wanted SEC starter NIL money? He doesn't look like a sure shot starter to me. Update: "dealing with a personal matter" but why leave the team then. You can just do a "Paul-Young" for a month with no public declaration.

If he pops back up in Knoxville or Athens, then we will be mad like Ole Miss fans watching Liam Doyle toss a Friday no hitter.

This is no surprise as things like this surface more often when losses add up in any sport. Aren't we about 35 - 65 or so in the SEC in the last three and a half seasons. Players start thinking why am I not playing as I'm better than the starters in this bad season or I don't want to be a part of this any longer. Keep losing and he and Pulliam won't be the last.

i have noticed our infielders struggle tossing that ball to first base.

Apparently had a gun in his bag or something.

Stupid.

Yet, a player who looked pretty good at 2nd base at the end of last season chose to quit riding the pine and focus only on football this spring. Why does it take Lemonis so long to pick his best players in the field and on the mound every season? Seems like we don't have a steady lineup until the season is half over many years. My theory: he recruits the same type players every year and there is little separation between most of them as starters and very few develop year to year under his and his staff's direction. Fundamentals are horrible.

He can't evaluate what we have properly.

Oh just book that happening.

Im sure he?ll earn his way right into a starting role on another SEC team and thrive while we had him coming out in random situations and usually struggling the first few batters not tapping his potential.

I know he was coming off injury but I have zero doubt this will happen.
