Didn't like it then and of course in hindsight like it even less. Pico had plenty of rest and I for one felt he was pitching well and very up to the task. But I don't get paid the big bucks.

I had it on but must have stepped out when that happened. And thanks for reminding me about the 135 pitches. That struck a chord too. How many games would we have won if we had not been so seemingly concerned about pitch count. THAT would be an interesting analysis.

Yeah that's true 7. Travel ball year round has orthos doing TJ on younger and younger players. And I don't remember specific numbers but it doesn't seem we take SPs to a point that's even a question. Meaning we seemingly have had instances the SP could've gone another inning without jeopardy and certainly not being high enough in the pitch count to cause concern. But want to go back and see if there are indeed instances to support that.

Yes but also not appropriate to imply he may have been lesser. Six days is one day fewer but it certainly is not short rest.
