I talked before last season about the draft picks we would have and those guys went on to pitch very well last season. Dohm getting hurt really cost us a hosting spot and likely coming up short of a Super. Parker did do a good job with those guys.

But now that he has to coach a little more with some talented younger arms mixed in- we are struggling mightily on the mound. We dont have a #2 guy and our #3 guy throws 95 and cant get anybody out. Our freshmen pooped in the diapers this weekend. Our should be closer pitched ok this weekend and fortunately did not give up a 2 run bomb.

We have SC coming up this next weekend. They are also 1-8 in the SEC. You have 5 days to get the shit figured out if this season is going to be saved. We need a sweep but at worst have to win 2/3.

what if unfortunately the guys we signed as pitchers simply don't have "IT" and parker is doing everything humanly possible to get them ready?

If Parker sucks, we are a bunch of chumps. Most of us wanted Lemonis fired after 2023, but noooooooo instead we were conned into thinking that Parker was a miracle worker who would come in and fix the program.

Next weekend being billed as The Battle of the Beatens.

If we lose the series at home, will be fun to hear from the folks saying let the season play out before making a move.

So we finally realizing Parker is not The MagicMan afterall?

Who are you talking to? Back in '23 people like me wanted Lemo gone, you and Todd were big "Fox sucked we'll be a lot better with a real PC". And to a large extend you were right, Parker made a big difference last year. It's just that Lemo still 'ain't it as HC so we under performed the talent level overall. But I don't know who called Parker the "magic man".

I also don't get your tone of superiority. 1) I don't remember you saying Parker wasn't good, and 2) if you knew we'd be bad on the mound this year due to youth then why didn't you call that we'd be a bad team this season?

I think we have to begin to question the premise that we have a bevy of talented players. It's not all coaching.

Dude you nailed it. Parker is the only reason that Lamonis got another year. He's the only reason we made the postseason last year. South Carolina Sure has dropped off since he left,

I never understood the whole portal thing as far as pitching. We had NOTHING proven coming back on the mound yet all we managed in the way of replacing our top 2 starters was getting a middling guy from Indiana State who hasn't even really contributed. We are very fortunate that Pico has come back as strong as he has or we would really have nothing. Its not like he was a major factor last year. We just royally screwed up not getting another stud pitcher or two out of the portal. Not sure if couldn't get anyone to come or what but its a major shortfall on this team.

Yep, you can never have too much pitching. Even if there's a chance you can rely on injury-cases such as Bradley Lofting and Grant while also counting on incoming freshmen, when has that ever truly worked out for us? You should always prioritize pitching in the NIL era.

Parker doesn't get to be the fall guy.

Not even remotely suggesting that. We miss a Regional and Lemon should 100% be fired.

But Parker got a little too much pat on the back last year for the guys he had. He did a good jobbut He had some dudes. This season he has not gotten this staff where it needs to be. That's 100% fact as well

The standard retort preseason was look at what he did with Khal Stephen like it was automatic someone else would be just as good.

He?s done a great job with Pico. I think he?s one of the nations top pitching coaches. And I wouldn?t mind him being the pitching coach regardless however I also favor whoever the new guy is to be allowed to hire his own coaches without interference. Again, I think Parker is very good. Def not the miracle worker some thought but I also wouldn?t trade him for very many at all.

Parker's issue isn't development.

It's putting the staff into proper defined roles and knowing when to take them out.

If I were Lemonis that would be the FIRST priority during the first meeting with the coaches coming back from Baton Rouge.

As far as Memphis one of our priorities needs to be getting Ryan McPherson right again. We're going to need him. We also need to unveil whoever our set-up and closer guy is against Memphis between Dotson and Nate Williams.

Once that is settled reset the rotation for South Carolina to Pico, Pruitt, and Siary.

Yeah we gotta be bumping the bottom of the league in fielding percentage or close to it

Yea, as bad as we are on defense we might as well go back to putting Gehrig Frei in the field to add another stout bat in the lineup. How much worse can the defense get?

.969, 3rd worst in the SEC. I'm sure we also lead the SEC in base running errors too

When Cheese finally became a paid Asst. coach, the things he was in charge of.....got WORSE.

Catchers and base-running.

This staff, overall, is soooooooo BAD.
