We need a coach that has experience and wants to win relentlessly. I think fans want a coach that is energetic and is willing to go out and fight for the players like Polk and Cohen. They need to be an elite recruiter. We need someone with scouting connections to make that happen so we can identify elite talent. We need someone that can recruit the portal. Fundamentals and playing the game the right way and being fundamentally sound is a non-negotiable.

We need someone that will hire an elite pitching coach that can utilize our lab.

We need an elite hitting coach that can lead a balanced offense where we can hit home runs but at the same time we're going to be aggressive on the bases and can play small ball if we have to.

We need a volunteer assistant that can bring in elite catchers and coach them up.

The other two spots are analyst positions that can be used for pitching and hitting gurus.

We need to avoid competitive collapse.

A: (5)
Tennessee, LSU, Arkansas, Vandy, and Texas

B: (3)
Florida, Georgia, and Texas AM

C: (3)
South Carolina, Mississippi, and Auburn

If you don't watch out, MSU can quickly fall to the 14th position in the SEC. Alabama is clearly on the rise.

A tough one. One that doesn’t care if he’s liked or not just wants to get the job done and could care less about anything other than that.

There are plenty of very successful coaches out there making half or less of what Lemonis makes today. At least one of them would jump ship.

The powers that be have to decide whether they want State to regularly compete in baseball, or they need to go ahead and pack it up.

It's just bizzare they're still backing him, at least according to a few. I'm skeptical. At the very least, I'd bet they've moved to the middle and are looking for where they stored the hanging rope.
