Kiffin has them relevant in football, Their Men's and Women's basketball teams made it to the sweet 16 and even though the Men just lost, they have a coach in Beard if they can keep him! And they are obviously better than us in baseball, I cant remember the last time they've been so much better than us

We're not far off in basketball. They lose a lot from this year but I assume Beard is staying. We have to keep Hubbard and Murphy and do well in the portal. Luckily we have some NIL for basketball.
Ole Miss has actually pulled some money from baseball because Carter realizes he has limited $$ and it's not worth it.

In basketball and baseball, it's coaching plain and simple. Beard would be at a blue blood had he not choked a bitch (allegedly), that doesn't negate the fact that Jans is good too. Bianco was on the verge of getting fired the year he won their natty. We can easily surpass them in baseball with the right coach. This year, we'll know what we have Levee, although we're still years away from even coming close to them in Football.

Exactly, it's ALL about money now. It used to be some about money but when the money was under the table AND you had to sit out a year if you transferred to get it, those were totally different dynamics. Not sure we will ever be able to catch them in football. They just have way more boosters willing to throw away millions on entertainment from semi-pro athletes than we do. TBH, just being able to poke out their chest and say 'we're better' means way more to them no matter what money it takes to be able to do so.

Yea but MSU eliminated OM from postseason contention in basketball. And then MSU did the same to them in baseball.

Yea we're gonna suck in football this year, but if the pattern holds - then a win in the Egg Bowl will knock them to 5-7 and then a loss to MSU will have ended all 3 of their seasons. Its the little things.
