Down by 1 at half time to a team that lost to Missouri, lsu and Arkansas by 37, 33, and 46. This team is worse than Rick Rays first team and I don't know how that's possible.

I'm disappointed big time with this team's last two first half performances.

He made a big lineup change and have Fred and Borchert coming off the bench if I remember right.

Bonner just tweeted that SELU lost to Missouri, LSU, and Arkansas all by 30+ points . But hey, at least we hustle

And it didn't make a change in performance obviously

The real question is do we win more than 3 SEC games? I see us splitting with Auburn and maybe beating a Marshall Hendersonless Ole Miss team at home. This team and program isn't getting better and we don't have difference makers on the way! Ray better find a way to get Pollard or else this team and Coach is destined to fail. We have a Croom 2.0.

Regardless of what happens the rest of this game, Rick Ray has got to recruit better. It's that simple. He will have to make a decision whether or not he is willing to play the game. Our administration will have to make a decision whether or not they want to support basketball any longer at Mississippi State. Attendance is currently a joke. Tickets are five dollars a piece.

I'm splitting hairs here but LSU beat them by 23- not 30+

Still no excuse to be this bad

One was a relatively good shooter and the other was a post player that we need. We have zero depth in the post. I understand that both had an attitude and other problems, but so do other basketball programs in America.

Steele demanded to redshirt this year- Ray said no. So we werent going to have Steele no matter what happened.

The sad part is I knew not having them would have a big effect on our ability to win in the SEC. I certainly didn't think not having them would make it such a task to beat the JSUs, Loyolas and SELAs of the world.

I agree I know the situation. The point that I was trying to make is we would be a lot better with those two guys. Simply because of depth.

Maybe our grandchildren will be able to enjoy MSU basketball. We can tell them about the good old days, back when we had a team.

The main problem is apathy has set in with our fan base regarding basketball. I keep up with every single basketball game, but I know a lot of people that do not pay attention to them anymore.

When you blow up the program, the fan base goes up too.

It amazes me how guys on SEC basketball scholarship can barely hit half of their FT attempts. We are currently 12-24. And as far as apathy setting in on the fan base that was starting even before Stans was let go. In fact the Hump environment hasn't been the same since the reseating.

apathy started before last season Tonto

I agree about the reseating issue. A lot of our fans got disinterested after the debacle at the end of Stansbury. Last year wiped out the casual fan. The die hards are the ones still holding on.

We will improve on last year's 4-14 SEC record. Book it. The Stans Squad whiners will complain even louder.

I suppose I'm in the minority at this point, but I'd rather not have a team than endure anymore of the national embarrassment we'd become. It was only going to get worse. The sources of the cancer were leaving, but it had already spread and would have continued.

Anyone know how badly RJohnson was injured? Saw where C34 said it was a knee issue.

No word in the Presser. Just an ambiguous knee injury.

MSU's basketball history is full of tremendous moments and competitive games. That's what you need to remember. But if it makes you feel better, you are not in the minority. I'm surprised that you think that you are.

this x 1000. it's already started. hell, I'd forgotten just how loud they were last season.

I will say this. So far this year, Borchart (sp?) and Flat Top Fred have absolutely destroyed us. Those guys have to play better. Fred Thomas was supposed to be our "shooter". He shoots 46% from the FT line. That's not coaching, that's mental.

Alright we aren't good, but I'm surprised no one has even mentioned Chicken. Anyone who has ever played or even watched basketball could tell this guys ability as soon as he stepped on the court last year, and I had been saying he would likely emerge this year. I hate that we aren't better as a team but thank god we have him.
