Especially in-state schools like JSU. It's obviously charity, but still a good thing. I assume most schools in the SEC do this.

The HBCUs like JSU and Southern always seem to enjoy coming to play State and the fans seem to enjoy it as well. All good.

Agreed. Just an RPI killer, but is what it is. Would be nice if such altruistic scheduling was taken into account, come postseason time.

Southern beat LSU not that long ago

All the SEC plays SWAC. Leave it to our fans to hate our players having some fun and we get to play alot of payers.

Update: the team plane will leave for Oklahoma mid-day Thursday following the conclusion of the JSU game.

If we win our RPI will be fine.

That said we've already messed up our hosting chances so RPI is the least of my concerns right now.

Our RPI sucks because we are 1-7 against all the decent to good teams weve played, not because we have one game against a SWAC team. Most of our wins so far are against Quad 4 teams.
