I don?t hate it. He has experience and has pitched well this year. Just surprised, was guessing Pruitt, foster, or stone.

I think you see Pruitt this weekend. Possibly slide him in on Sunday.

If Simmons doesn’t start Wed I’d start being concerned he may be having some arm issues

I honestly think we send Ligon back out Sunday. But the leash will be short. Only way he can help the staff is as a starter. Nobody is using him in relief. Has fhe stuff. But the command...: he needs to show it more than once ...

Yeah- he needs to get it together. He really looked pretty good after walking the leadoff hitter. He has to get it together. He is probably the key to our season to me as SP's will determine our SEC place 10 weeks from now. Our RP's are Top 5 in the country. We got to get some SP's giving us quality starts

I actually like Siary. I would probably take Siary as starter over Simmons to tell the truth. Not for a long start, but on a by committee Sunday. That being said, I have no basis for this other than I have seen Siary more over the last few years. I realize Stone has been rehabbing. Work has kept me from watching too many games so far this year.

Siary is due. It will be good to see him have a good outing.

Siary improved his Walk rate from Foxy times and his issue has been missing bats. 299 as a freshman and 304 as a sophomore for batting average against. Only Pico, Hungate, and Ligon have more collegiate experience.

In 3 innings (including Troy) just 1 hit.

It's interesting because it makes me wonder what their plans for Pruitt are? I think that this may have some to do with Ben Davis's blister because Ligon didn't really do anything to lose his job this weekend although I certainly have major doubts that he will be starting in the rotation by the end of the year.

I think they also want to see how Siary does as a starter. My hope is that they get Stone Simmons in for a relief appearance- I think he may thrive in that role. Siary has quietly pitched very well in a relief role for us.

Thing is we have left Siary out there to rot several times in his career. He has eaten innings for the team multiple times and his stats have suffered because of it. I think he has been much better than his stats show because of the context of how he has been used sometimes.

I'm not too worried about Ligon not coming through. Because if he doesn't we have Pruitt who has pitched well for us as a starter. And we have McPherson whose numbers basically have mirrored Ben Davis until this weekend. And we also have guys like Siary. But the key is we have a really deep bullpen we can use. We can piece Sunday's together if we need too. Pico and Ben can both give us at least 6 IP most weekends if I had to guess.
