Still a little early to talk specifics but the models have been on this for several days now. All hazards look possible including tornadoes.
If any of you are interested, our chase team is now part of the Walmart round up program. You can go to the link below and add NMSC as your preferred charity and then anytime you make a purchase online or on the Walmart app, your purchase price is rounded up to the nearest dollar with those proceeds being donated to us.

hey SVD the GFS is forecasting the strong storms to be in the 20 and north area of the state and the euro has the main action along the coastal areas.
Both of the models are sticking to their guns so far, what you think. Or any other of our weather guys?

Friday looking like it could possibly be NW part of the state and Saturday (probably the bigger day) eastern and southern part of the state.

Saturday is starting to look like the real deal for severe weather. There's a couple of failure modes that could possibly reduce the threat, but right now things are looking like they could get really bad.

From a selfish standpoint, I hope the bulk of the worst stuff stays east and south of where I am in Clinton on Saturday. That setup looks feisty.

Saturday could be off and on all day, but main window looks to be late morning to around dark.

So Friday baseball and a double-Header on Sunday?
Wonder who this favors?
Ideally Kohn and Hungate manage Friday. Leaving a full staff for Sunday with Hungate resting a day to stop a rally on Sunday.

There could be a round Friday night but not certain and not the main event. That will be Saturday anywhere from 10:00am to 9:00pm. And I don't say this lightly...while there's a couple of possible failure modes that could mitigate Saturday...this has the potential to be a very high end significant event. I can't tell you how wrong I hope I am. If you go under a warning, please assume it is one on the ground. This isn't a system to take lightly.

Hattiesburg is in the highest risk right now, but it wouldn't surprise me if the worst of the worst was a little to your north.

Would it be better for them to come stay with me north of Clinton???

Just had an upgrade to a high risk for Saturday. Only the third time in history that has happened. Take this system seriously.

Yes!! I heard the first one just south of me. The second one was on nearly the same track then jogged a little further north to hit us. The 3rd one I didn't even know about as we was pulling a tree off of a neighbors house. They took a beating but they were ok.
