It's March and things are going to get squally right off the Bat. Tuesday afternoon and evening will be very eventful for the entire state but specifically for 98/84 north with main emphasis for the area between 20 and the Tenn Border. I'm sure SVD will have some more info starting tomorrow.

I'll be honest I'm not completely sold on this system, but I will say this. If this system had enough instability to work with it would be one talked about for a long time. Every other box is checked for a significant high end event. It just doesn't look like it's going to have enough fuel to work with to become a prolific tornado producer. That said, it does look like it will be able to produce widespread damaging straight line winds.

On a related note, we just went live with a Skycam in Aberdeen yesterday. That is our 10th camera to go live. We've still got other places we are waiting to do installs at and others we're working on getting permission to place cameras. I'm hoping we can have 20-25 up this year.

Yes, I know it's off thread topic SVD but for those of us enamored with such things, give us some details on the profile pic!!!

Any update on how the system is looking like? I know they have it as an enhanced risk, but they are letting our boys out of school early tomorrow afternoon down here in Sumrall

The 84 corridor is supposed to get the brunt of the worst weather.

Man, what is the deal with that stretch of highway. It may need to be relocated to change some luck.

I'm no meteorologist, but it might have something to do with CAPE. The further south you go, the higher the values tend to be. Otherwise, heck if I know.

That's it. It just doesn't look like we're going to have enough moisture return. That is the only thing keeping this from being a really bad event.

About the same. Main tornado threat confined to south MS but a watch has been issued up to 82 where parameters aren't as good but will be good enough to possibly squeeze out a couple.

Man I was on a Citation 5 today, and the pilots did a heck of a job landing with wind gusts. I at one point near landing thought this may not end well.
