I have a feeling those fans that want him fired are going to look silly in June again. Last year at this time of the year we had losses to Air Force, two to Austin Peay, and one to Evansville and one to Georgia Southern. This year we have losses to three solid teams in USM, Troy, and Arizona. This team is already outperforming last year's team. And with a much more difficult OOC schedule than last year.

Our starting rotation is one guy right now, our hitting is mediocre, defense isn't good, poor base running, pen is good. Conference play will handle us if we don't get things in order fast, we've lost to the only decent teams we've played, and our schedule is terrible aside from those. Sounds like a Lemonis team, on the road for a regional if we find a couple parts during the season, and that would be disappointing. We aren't going to compete for a conference title or anything, but our schedule should have us there. I just have no faith in Lemonis & staff minus Parker.

It is not just in baseball either. Yesterday during the first half of the basketball game I saw multiple fans say that we needed to let Hubbard transfer because he was overrated, We wasted a scholarship on Cam Matthews, and we would be better off if Jans took another job in the offseason. They also said we are not fun to watch, apparently forgetting the Rick Ray and Ben Howland eras. We do not even need rivals with fans like ours.

I think losses that we had a chance to win in the 9th will make us a better team in the long run. Hines has to hit or sit, we need to find a couple more starters, and get the defense sorted out.

This team has a chance to be good and at the end of the season will decide if Lemonis is still coach in July.
