I don't understand why you pinch run for Stevens anyway. He's a big OF athlete. A pinch runner is someone you need with 230 lbs catcher. Or you pinch runner with a disruptively fast baserunner.

Biggest issue to me was Ligon. He should not be a Saturday starter and that's something that is going to have to be addressed now. I think there is a very good chance that Ryan McPherson gets a start soon. Pruitt is another possibility if he pitches well against USM. I think we need to start looking at Nolan Stevens as a potential starter as well.

We can win games with McPherson, Burns, Grant, and Nate Williams. Especially if we can stretch McPherson out to five innings. If not, we certainly can get a couple of innings out of Charlie Foster.

Eventually, I would use Pruitt and Stone Simmons as a tandem as well with Pruitt starting and Stone coming in after him in relief to play up their strengths.

Friday I would probably go with Pico and Hungate and then use Ben Davis and Gavin Black as needed on Friday and Sunday.

Ligon wasn't dominant in summer ball like Stratton and Hudson were when they broke out. He had a couple of good outings and he struggled in the spring for us.

If I'm being objective here- Simmons and Pruitt both outperformed him as a starter. Ligon's data in the lab looked better though which is why he is getting an opportunity.
