Thank the Lord, not this time Matt. Surgeon went in under my arm between the ribs and then made an incision in the atria to repair the mitral. Can't say the hospital stay was a whole lot better than the open heart was eight years ago. But the post hospital recovery is much easier. I'll be going to dinner with my son in Fairhope this evening eleven days after surgery. The great news is my arteries are all still stellar and the valve repair is permanent. I'm good to go for the rest of my days.
