Like the hire. Hopefully he can nail the top 4 picks in draft... all top 100 picks. If so, maybe the saints will be ready to compete again in 2026 when the cap looks better.

Can he bring AJ, Devante and Saquan with him? Also the Eagle def would help. the hire is a wait and see but a even better hire would be the Asst GM for the eagles cause that staff knew how to put a team together.

How is his relationship with Dak? A possible reunion with the Saints would be sweet.

Dak too much dead cap, and saints have no cap space

Yeah I was thinking a few years down the road.

A few years down the road dak is either gonna be fulltime fishing or going to MSU events fulltime.

Kellen not ready for the head job.

Saints will continue to suck.

I guess we'll see how he does. He needs a QB. I don't think Carr is winning championships

If I had even a microscopic fraction of Dak's resources fish all over the planet would be trembling in their fins.

I don't see any way they don't restructure Carr. If they don't, they'll have to restructure almost everyone else. I'd restructure Carr bc it's easier to move on from 1 guy than 10 or so.

Since the Saints are in desperate need of a QB do they go after Dart if he falls to the 3rd?

Please, no. Plus they've had enough QB's who couldn't get to the playoffs...

I would look for them to go after Dart if he falls to round 2. He's a lot like Dak when he came out honestly. Really seasoned starter in the SEC. The knock on Dart is that most scouts and GMs believe Kiffin's scheme makes the QB look better than he is. They think he is probably the best play caller in college football. The knock on Dak was around the same, scouts and GMs thought Dan was a top 5 play caller and schemed people open.

We honestly need to blow the damn thing up. We're 5 years past the end of the cycle when we should've done it. And we definitely should've done it after Sean left. Our defense is old and our offense is injury prone.

they probably will, the Saints are the most aggressive team on kicking dead cap down the road but if I was you I'd be hoping they just eat all the dead cap this year, cut everyone old and expensive, get the #1, then have a ton of money to play in FA to pair with Arch

I can't imagine them wasting picks on a QB knowing they are in the manning race for the upcoming year and are paying Carr a ton of money. I imagine Moore got a 3 year guarantee (barring a scandal or something) so I would really focus on building the trenches and getting young

That would be the perfect scenario. Unfortunately it's the Saints. We'll do something stupid or we'd actually try to do what you said and we'd win 6 games.

They can't cut their way to cap compliant. They will have to restructure a few

Should have interviewed Todd Monken and hired him.

Yeah this is what we (panthers) did in 2022. Could have kept Rhule and locked up the first pick instead fired him mid season and then won 7 games and had to give up a ton to get to first to draft Bryce

Could not agree with you more. Personally think it's a horrible hire. Glad he didn't go to Dallas as was first predicted.

Kellen Moore will probably wind up being a really good head coach...but it won't be with the Saints. He'll cut his teeth and take his lumps with the Saints. All those lessons learned will turn another team into a Super Bowl contender years down the road.

State should have as well a while back.
