Why is Cam and Murph handling the dang ball so much/ Can't our guards dribble and bring the ball down the fing court/

If I could more than 100% agree with something, it would be this.

Not sure what all has gone wrong but this team is a shell of the one that won comfortably at Memphis, beat SC by 35 at home and won at Vandy by 12. We are 3-6 in our last 9 that includes 2 OT wins and a 1 point win. We are that close to having dropped 9 in a row. I realize the competition is stiff, but getting shelled in our last 2 in the Hump does not bode well. I have no faith in pulling out a win in Oxford.

What's your answer for Harris / Kugel missing open corner 3s and Melendez missing wing 3s?

What's the answer for not getting a foul called when both your shoulders are yanked by two different players when dribbling the ball?

What's the answer for missing so many FTs at home?

What's the answer for Nwoko / Murphy shooting 20 times inside 5 feet and only drawing 3 fouls?

The 6 TOs in 8 possessions to start the second half was bad. But what else are guys supposed to do when the designed plays lead to wide open bricks? Eventually you get frustrated. I mean what guy on the team wants to pass Claudell the ball in the corner? How can you be in sync with each other when half the team isn't in sync with themselves?

Is that coaching/evaluation? I guess in some respects it has to be. But damn what else are we supposed to do. We need to get 3 legit point guards and 5 dead eye wings next year. I don't care how bad their defense is, just shoot 3s at 40% clip and our defense can't get worse so I'd say we win.

We have to stop doubling the post.

We have to stop doubling the post.

Gave up 14 made threes again last night. On offense, often had all five players outside the 3 point line passing the ball around just looking at each other. Kugel, Melendez, and Harris were a Top Ten Portal class and until very late in the game Kugel had 2 points, Melendez had 0 points, 2 rebounds (lots of playing time) and Harris has turned into Shaq Moore (afraid to shoot). Hubbard is getting his on his volume shooting, many whan the game has been out of hand (MO & FL) and is a real liability especially on a switching defense. Our rotations have us often playing 2 or 3 on 5 regarding offense. Jans is looking like our Dan Mullen of basketball as he only beats those we are similar to or better than and supposed to beat. I see very little movement or schemes on his "O". Hire an offensive asst. coach with fresh ideas. Have been to every home game and we are very predictable and this is getting hard to watch. I got hammered on some of these statements earlier this weak, especially on "Dan". I mean Jans so fire away. He himself said recently we were not a Top 15 team. I don't think we are even Top 25 and will soon be on the bubble. There are 4.2 million reasons for him to make needed adjjustments.

Any good coach would have stopped doubling it 10 games ago. It's insane we still are doing this

Hey, we only gave up 14 threes last night instead of 15. Progress is being made.*****

Exactly. It doesn't take an MIT mathematician to know that giving up 2 points is better than giving up 3. And when the opponents are hitting 3s at nearly 40% against us, that's probably about as good as they would do shooting 2s.

I really did think we would change our approach when we had the week off based on Jans' comments but no dice.

Jans starting to look quite stubborn on sticking to this doubling the post defense. Don't be our Croom or JoMo of basketball.****
