Not sure some don't understand how good the Sec is this year in basketball. Not sure any conference ever is as good as our conference has become. Some really good Coaches is the main reason.
Ga was 13-1 at home, they are a good 4-6 team especially playing at home.
Tough road ahead but I'm hoping we can pull a few upsets.
I thought we played really good last night on the road.

Any road SEC win is good and GA plays well at home.
I posted early in the 2nd half that we would have to make free throws to win the game and I was wrong. I'm still shocked we won on the road shooting 6-18 on FTs. Kugel didn't play great but much better than the last 2 games. Hopefully he's real motivated against his former team Tuesday night.

I feel like the sequence that won the game was jones' 3, jones' really tough rebound, and jones' and 1. This was so huge

I still cant believe we won a road game going 6-18 from the line. That never happens. Shows some real toughness by us because we never let them go ahead in the 2nd half.

Jones B2B trips were huge. He's done that a couple of times this season. Comes out of nowhere.

Not sure why but it seems as though even as our coaching and players change the one consistent thing is we almost always reside toward the bottom of the league in FT %. Not sure why that is but its certainly been true under Jans and Howland and seems like it was that way even back to the Stansbury years. Frustrating to seemingly always leave so many easy points on the table because we can't make an unguarded 15 foot shot at a higher clip.

And plays by players like this is a reason many wins occur out of nowhere.
Played really tough defense last night. Lots of hustle.

Hopefully we are just in a bit of a lull and will peak at end of the regular season and make a run in the NCAA tourney.

Because by and large we end up with athletic guys that play basketball instead of basketball players that are athletic.

I said the same when it happened.
He just gets caught doing the right thing most the time. Solid role guy.

Best description of our history I've ever read.

The UK, Bama and Mizz home games are the ones that will haunt us.

Bama won't as much as UK and Mizzou. Bama is going to be a 1 seed. We just let UK career it against us and didn't come to play against Mizzou.

On the inverse of being haunted by home losses, we have 5 road wins now(3 in conference). That is tied for 2nd most in the conference with Auburn. Only Bama has more road wins. Winning on the road is generally a harbinger of good NCCAT teams.

We are 15th in the nation in road win %. Our two losses are @ #5 UTk and @ #1 Auburn.

Absolutely 100% true. I can name a ton of guys who came through Mississippi State and fit this description.
