They just added a player this week. The kid has played JC-> UNC-> Tampa-> Tennessee

Nothing exotic about the colleges, but this was done this week. Tampa season has already started. The wrinkle is that Tampa is DII.

Evidently you can sign a transfer at any time? They may just need to trampoline from DII or JC. Like enroll at Pearl River, Hinds, or Delta State for a week and then transfer to MSU.

Alberto Osuna is the player. Was a solid player at UNC, good numbers.

So this means MSU can call up a Hinds, Delta State, Or Pear River player mid -Season? Like (for example) send Evan Siary to Delta State get innings as a closer and then call him back in April once he masters the role? Or send a player that missed the 35 man roster, Mr 36, to Hinds and call him up if someone gets injured. No eligibility is lost either.

Very interesting loop hole to exploit if availalble mid-season, especially on the injury front. Will be interesting if this gets taken advantage of (not saying it's bad) as it's apparently in the rules.

How would that work with school in session? I know that "student athlete" is an old term now but you wouldn't be able to enroll in classes unless it is quarter terms or whatever. Does MSU still have the basic Spring and Fall semesters?

What is this " classes" you speak of? Professional Athletes are assigned to colleges for "quasi minor league" training and audit remedial instruction sessions.
