Glad to see Sterling Sharpe get in. His career would have been first ballot HOF had he not gotten injured. I also am really glad that Eric Allen got in as well. Gates and Jared Allen were very deserving also.

I'm a little surprised the Eli Manning didn't get in even though I think that is the right decision.

Other than leading the league in INT's 3 times, he really didn't accomplish a whole lot. Yeah, 4 pro-bowls and two rings. By HOF, standards, he compares well to 60's and 70s QB's, but not as well against his peers. If his last name wasn't Manning, I don't know if he anyone would bat an eye at him not getting in.

Eli will get in eventually because of the two SB's. The rest of his career was extremely average

I also was glad to see Sharpe get in. He was better than his brother and without the injury- probably is among the greatest WR's of all-time

Eli's going to get in. Every QB, except Jim Plunkett and the guys that aren't eligible, that have won multiple SBs are in the HOF.

Eli will get in due to the defense winning him some Superbowls (and WRs making some insane catches). What also helps him is the Manning cast has made him more popular than ever. Peyton is what makes the show but he plays the dumb brother well.

He was a better than average QB but not really Hall of Fame worthy without the last name.

modern era guys only:

2026 class - Pouncey, Brees, Fitzgerald, Kuechly

2027 class - Peterson, Sherman, Yanda/Staley, Atkins

2028 class - Brady, Watt, Eli, Gronkowski

That 2028 class will be full of Brady festivities with his favorite thorn in the side there.
