The good news is that we have played our toughest stretch already.

The Butler loss is bringing our NET down, especially because it was by double digits. While it is quad 2, it probably will move to quad 3 as Butler is 9-12 overall and 2-8 in the Big East which is a bit down this year with Villanova, UConn, Xavier and Seton Hall below their norm. Here is something very interesting about Jans and I can see why people are comparing him to Mullen. He is 3-18 against the "big 4" since he has been our coach (Bama, UK, Auburn and Tenn). These 4 have had the most success since Jans arrived. Against the rest of the SEC he is 20-8 and in non conference 35-6 which is phenomenal at State. It is just getting over those big 4 and adding wins is where the issue lies.

He's close but he needs to hit a homerun with his portal haul this offseason to take the next step. He only managed to split the gap this last go round.

To put into perspective. We were 4-10 in Q1 last year and we're 4-8 the year before. I think it's safe to say, unless we absolutely tank, we'll eclipse that number pretty easily. I have us finishing 10-8 so that it would be safe to assume we'll end up with 7-8 Q1 wins

I think we're safely 5-line at 10-8. That gives us a good shot at finally getting back to the sweet 16. To be honest though, I probably wouldn't be mad if we just get a win.

10-8 will put us right on the edge of 4-5. We really need to figure out a way to get to the 3 so we could avoid the 1 until a regional final. But again, once you're in the tournament, it's all about matchups and luck.

Avoiding a UC Irvine, VCU, Ivy League team etc on that 11 or 12 line is big so we really got to hope we can do well enough to get a 3 seed but it?s going to be a tall task
