I don't know why Jans can't get these guys to defend the 3. I get Hubb has limitations but that doesn't excuse everyone else. What were we doing on Youngblood.

We?ll see Saturday
We will and I hope to hell I am wrong. But I predicted that we would lose the last 4 games after UK last year and we lost every damn one of them. We let losses linger.

We will not win Saturday. You can put whatever amount of money you want on Mizzou and will win. We did the same thing last year with the Kentucky game. We let it linger. We will do the exact same this time. Very real possibility we lose the next 6. No game to get our confidence back. Is what it is in this league.
I think you're wrong. After our Kentucky loss at home this year followed by a blowout loss to Auburn on the road we beat Ole Miss at home.
The grind is definitely difficult but I think tonight's game proves our guys can handle adversity

ESPN BPI has sorta had our sec games right. They have us at 71% Saturday. Bama was at 53% tonight, and it really was a toss up. The Florida home game seems big for us

We have lost 4 conference games. In those games the other teams have shot 35%, 48%, 50%, and 41% from beyond the arc. Hopefully somebody on the coaching staff recognizes this soon.

We said the same damn thing after UK last year. Again, I am not saying the season is lost. But we blew a home opportunity tonight. Which means we have to go on the road and win a game in this conference, which outside of LSU, looks damn near impossible.

We are on that border already. I think we probably end up a 7. We have 3 potential but the clutch factor of an under .500 team.
We are 6-2 in single digit games this year. The two losses are to teams ranked top 6 at the time / currently top 12. We're 2-0 in OT. We didn't get a foul call at home on the final good look that we had because we're playing the team who buys every ref and plants their alumni's children who went to Jacksonville State as refs.
Tough loss. We've lost b2b games once this year. The second game was @ #1.

Hopefully our guys keep this in perspective. We are falling just short against some VERY GOOD teams. We are good. Let's stay strong, get a four seed and do some damage in the tourney.

The really sad thing is that we brought in some analytics guy that was hailed as this genius. However, teams consistently torch us from 3 every game. And it is because we are leaving guys open. That tells me the scouting report is saying leave them open.

But they were wide open looks. Why is Hubbard ever sagging back to the lane? If he keeps his toes on the 3 point line on D, we win. If Kugel plays average, we win. Gotta get it fixed.

We came into tonight ranked 14. If we win Saturday we stay 14 or move up.
Losing sucks but perspective matters.
We are currently a Sweet 16 team. We may screw up and not make that or we may exceed and go past it.

Mizzou is 1-3 on the road.
Florida has 1 ranked win.
Georgia is worse than SCar imo.
BaskEggBowl is a coinflip - and definitely beatable.
Aggy is 2-3 on the road.
OU is 2-5 in SEC play with wins over SCar and Ark only.

It is beginning to look like Kugel is a saboteur. I mean 3 of his plays late tonight we're just too obviously awful, culminating in a hand off attempt to Hubbard with 2 defenders on them. He need to pass it or fake it and look for another shooter. We started that possession with 10.9 seconds so I know there was urgency. I do wonder if everybody between here and Russia knew Hubbard would get it why Jans didn't draw up something for Melendez or Harris.

I will continue. If Matthews and Murphy acted like they were 6’7 and 6’10 instead of 5’7 and 5’10 we win.
If Melendez could make an open corner 3 we win.
If we could block out we win.
At the end of the day, we let YET ANOTHER team shoot over 40% from 3 pt range.
Bama- 48%
Kentucky-50%
Auburn(not that it mattered)- 42%
Tennessee- somehow only 36%

Jans biggest flaw is over protecting players with 2 fouls. He has sat Harris for the entire half. Who cares if he fouls out.
Harris finishes with 2 fouls. FYI

I can do the same thing:
Mizzou- the one road win came in the O’Connell center against Florida. Which is louder than The Hump could dream of being.
Florida-glad we get them at home. Completely different team at home than they are away. But I am sure they will have a bench player who averages 4 score 24 against us.
UGA- undefeated at home with wins over UK and St Johns
Ole Miss- one loss at home.
A&M- has won at OM and it is Buzz Williams. They are going to defend the shit out of us.
OU-feels like one we can get. But it is on the road.
HOPEFULLY you can get Florida, A&M, and OU out of that group.

After taking a shower to cool off, I realize these 2 things...
1. Murphy blowing the layup just saved us the deflating buzzer beater.
2. We went toe-to-toe with one of the best teams in the country with Hubbard being a volume guy. It may be time for jans to dust off the old AK film of what he did with Henderson and then moody. It's time to tell Josh to go get us 25-30 every night

1. I legit thought that after he missed it. Sears would have hit some stupid shot to rip our heart out.
2. Been saying that for 3 weeks. Feelings time is done. Let Josh be Josh. 25 shots a game. No matter if he goes 2-25 or 20-25. And 12-15 need to be from 3.

We are a 1st or 2nd round team currently. If we are hitting on all cylinders we are a second weekend team. If Hubbard is on and we are hitting on all cylinders, we are a F4 team. However, hoping we can have a Memphis or Pitt performance AND Josh be on for 6 games is just wishful thinking. Our ceiling is probably S16, which I would happily take btw.

That is the kicker. IF he is actually back, then oh well. You lost to the number 4 team in the country who will be a number 1 seed on selection Sunday. And in the grand scheme of things you will be fine. You will win 9-11 conference games and be a 3-5 seed. But if tonight was just an aberration, then for the second straight year you wasted a masterclass Josh Hubbard performance.

All 6 are winnable and all 6 are loseable. I see 4-2 or 5-1 personally. 6-0 is possible. 0-6 would be catastrophic. 3-3 is the lowest we should go.

We lose 4 games to current #12, @1, @#6, #4 and the sky is falling, our team is horrible.
We'd be a 1/2 seed like Iowa State & Houston if we were in the B12. We'd have at most two losses if we were in the B10 or ACC.
