the announcement of who is going to replace Jim Ellis of the radio voice of the M over S bulldogs? Yes I still occasionally listen to the radio broadcasts of games while on the tractor or in the truck.

I always listen to all sports by radio or down here on the coast by internet since we have no radio.

I thought it was going to be Neil Price?I think he called baseball games at Kentucky. Could be wrong. Besides, the Hump and Dude are within feet of each other, it's very do-able.

Honesty- it should go to Bart. Tradition of the local State guy getting the gig. But in today's world- I'm sure he would rather do the streaming gig

Bart pretty much told me on Twitter he wants to keep doing streaming/TV.

I might be mistaken but I think part of the deal with hiring Neil was the understanding that he would take over for Jim when Jim retired.
I'm sure that we will have another announcer that will fill in when Neil is doing basketball- like Bart used to do for Jim when Jim did basketball I think.

That was indeed the deal and I imagine we had to make additional assurances to him when Tennessee tried to poach him this winter. It will be Neil if he wants to do it, which everyone says he absolutely wants to do it. My guess is that basketball will take priority and either Bart or Jay Powell will take over baseball when there are scheduling conflicts and Matt Wyatt will probably join Charlie.

Neil would be really good. Don't know how it'll work while basketball is still playing though.

Out of all likelihood, Bart will fill in for him and Matt or Jay Powell will probably do the SEC Network+ stuff with Charlie.
So Neil would just split duty until the season is over. It'll be opposite of Ellis when he was still calling basketball. Instead of Bart filling in there, Bart will fill in with baseball.

I had no idea about that. Glad we held on to him. I really like Neil and would love to hear him on baseball broadcasts.
