NBA continuation lol. Jans' strategy today really feels like it was to make it mainly Hubbard/Kugel running the show. I like the adjustment he made after a couple of dead Cam possessions. We're starting to get a rhythm. Cam is best on offense being off ball cutting for O boards and being a quick hockey assist guy.

This setup has had some alright offensive outcomes for Nwoko and Murphy. Honestly if there was a game to force us to be comfortable with it, this is the one. Since about 3 min to go in the first half the offense has looked well coached. Also allowing guys like Cam and Jones to be who they are on defense. Kugel made an open 3 off the designed play. If him and Harris hit those, then we're cooking. Melendez looks sick and this is his worst game. I think his +/- is gonna look awful. I expect him to bounce back. He hasn't even taken a wing 3 I think. Maybe missed 1.

Great coaching job by Jans. 4:56 of OT and allowed 3 points and none of them a made basket. Great awareness for us to foul CMB who missed two crucial FTs late. Ignoring the garbage time last 4 seconds.

Some people would call the offensive coaching bad. Those would be the ones to say we fought hard and were impressed by a 103-100 loss. I'm happier with a 5 point W because winning is better than losing.

I have to say in the past State teams would have lost that game. Harris and Kugel add clutch free throws and we want them with the ball when the automatic fouling starts. I cannot figure out why Melendez didn't play in the 2nd half until he entered late in overtime for the baseball pass thst he saved from going out of bounds. Even though he threw it back in to SC, had it gone out without him touching it, they would have had the ball with more time inbounding under their own goal. Once we showed the baseball throw that was blocked back over Cam's head, that idea was shot. You have to run legal pick plays on inbounds late in the game to get a guard free. They smothered our guys. None of our basketball players could play wide receiver on the football team because they cannot get rid of their defender!😳😳
