This is from a friend of mine who lives in Gulf Shores. And it's still snowing here in Fairhope.

Hey ed. Got about 6 inches in my yard in biloxi. And a large band on the way.

Wow. That's got to be a record. Mobile's record is 6" in 1895. They're at 5.5 right now and it's still snowing. So this is the most since 1895. Think I have about five here in Fairhope and it's still snowing. Insane.

Just had our heaviest band in biloxi. The dryline is about an hour away. All headed your way. Right now got about a 200 yds of vis.

And here I am thinking I left Connecticut to get away from this nonsense. :)

My daughter lives in Pensacola but she got stuck in N Bama with us early this week traveling with work so can't get home right now. Hope clears up by Thursday

I lived in NC in Mar 93 when blizzard hit there. Got 2.5-3 feet and 8-10 ft snow drifts.

That was a wild one. I was home for Spring Break in North Metro ATL and got 16". I got 2 extra days because they shut down I-20 in Alabama and I couldn't get back to Starkville.

Waiting for it to hit here in Coastal GA - it's been freezing rain for about an hour now, and it's supposed to transition to snow soon. It would be the first snow here since Christmas '89

We got 8" in Baton Rouge with a low tonight of 9F!!!, yikes. several more days of very low temps in the forecast, it might be Friday before the roads are really driveable.

How are roads near the coast today? My daughter has to drive back to Pensacola tomorrow, waited today thinking roads were still too bad.

It was a wise decision to have her wait until tomorrow R2. I could get around because I have four wheel drive. Those without it were having problems today; several off the road and lots of fishtails/sideways.

She is headed out in the morning, will be in the area after lunch. Sun and 40s temp hoping roads are OK tomorrow afternoon. You think that is realistic.
