Good for Andy. If he can keep his nose clean I think he'll be back in college baseball in a few years. The guy knows how to develop hitters and is the ultimate motivator if the team believes in him. I like Andy and got to know him decently well in his short time in Starkville so I'm rooting for him.

Me too. He has his issues but I will not cast stones. Not my place. I liked him as a baseball guy.

I really don't know why he would get back into coaching unless it's for money. Because he has failed miserably at it at both MSU- where it's pretty hard to be bad at baseball honestly- and he couldn't cut it in high school either.
It's not a baseball knowledge thing. It's a maturity thing with him. And it's sad because I do agree- he is a great hitting coach and baseball mind. I think he could have really thrived as our hitting coach under Cohen where he would have had some oversight and could have evaluated and recruited players which he is really good at when he is focused on baseball. Kind of sad for us we didn't have a staff of Cohen, Wes Johnson, and Cann. THAT would be insane.
I'm just saying if I were him I would just stick with being a scout and just forget it. Stay out of the spotlight. Work out. And be done with it.

That really wasn't the problem.
The problem was being so distracted by the woman he literally wasn't coming to practice and was completely neglecting our program.
There is a difference and many coaches have had sidepieces and still were able to coach at a high level- see Hugh Freeze.
And I'll say this- God bless Mike Brown. That guy is one of the unsung heroes of MSU baseball and really kept things together.

My Louisiana connections tell me he'll never coach high school or college again. Dude has serious issues.

I know this will never happen, but I?ve always thought he would be good in a director of scouting/player acquisition role for MSU.

Exactly. Just doesn?t look good when you are married. First, get a divorce. Second, don?t sext while you should be coaching.
