No surgery.

He's most likely out tomorrow, but not the season. Good news for us, and good news for them. Hopefully we can steal one.

Broome was their big advantage over us so hopefully we can take advantage. Maybe this opens up Murphy to have a big game for us.
Anyone have an update on Kugel?

Kugel is questionable. I thinks he plays.

With or without Broome this will be a tough game for us. I've said it before but I think we have a shot in every game we play. I'm not saying we will win them all but Jans will have us ready for every game

Broome not playing gives us a shot, but this is still going to be tough. I have always been one of Jan?s biggest supporters and I still am, but I think our fans and even some in the media have over inflated this team. We are a solid team and the best team at state since probably 04, but we still are not on Auburn/Bama/Tenn/UF/UK level until I see us beat those teams. I think we are next around 6th and a top 20 team and will earn a 4 or 5 seed, but I just don?t see us winning more than 1 game between those 5. Hope I am wrong though

This is exactly where I am at. I want to. I am too used to seeing MSU teams stumble in big games to be able to get 100% invested in this team.

But, this is the most excited about a team I've been in a very long time. I still don't quite see us in the same light as the same programs that were listed above.

Although, KY shooting 50% wouldn't happen again if we played them today. Regardless, they some how get us every year no matter how close we play them.

We are knocking. They just needs to finally kick the door down with a couple of marquee wins. Definitely a tournament team. Need to actually show up to the tournament now.

If our perimeter D does not improve then we are going to struggle. Now Kentucky was just on the other night. I mean they had two guys go over double their season averages and we held their best scorer to like 6 pts. But our perimeter D still needs to be better. We contested better in the second half for the most part, but against Teams like Florida and Bama we are going to have to contest like that all game.

I know history haunts everyone but in reality, games 10 years ago that none of our players even saw plays into the outcome of the game played this year. I'll bet you no one on our team went back and watched games or looked at history and said we just can't beat them tonight because they beat us last year or 10 years ago.

I've lived it and played the same type thing when I was in high school. Two schools we had not beat that I could even remember coming up from elementary school. It never changed my approach to the games each year. I felt like we could/would beat them every year. One team, we never beat. Got so close twice, once in county championship. The other team (year after they were state champs) we broke the curse but not one person on our team thought about a curse or not being able to win game. We ended up beating them several more times before I graduated.

If the team that won previous year wins next year because they won last year then it would never change. Each year and each game is a new adventure with an undetermined outcome.

I don't think the current players were thinking about previous games at all. That's all just fanfare.

I've seen us be good. I've just seen us suck more than be good.

I also expect a new day will be here tomorrow and anyone can beat anyone in basketball on a given day. We just tend to stumble come nut cutting time.

Either way, this team has something different. But we aren't there yet by any means.
