No Im not early on Saturday. Shoutout our women and Purcell. We're a tournament team. Build on this.

12 hours and not a single other comment or thread on ED about beating a top ten team. Plenty had lots to say about losing though.
Really giving into the ED name if not a one of you can get up for the women and celebrate a big win.

all were probably watching football last night and not aware of the game.

Good win for Purcell, hope he can build on this win. Not having an outside game makes us a little inconsistent. I wish we were a little more aggressive on the defensive end.

Good for Sam. He needed that win to get the women's basketball fans off his back. They were about ready to burn I didn't watch but the last minute or so, but they made their FTs and didn't make any stupid fouls.

To be honest the only reason I didn't mention anything was because most on here seem to not give a damn about Women's basketball anymore, which is unfortunate since the Women's game has come along so far in the last few years.
Very good win though, prior to us Oklahoma had only lost to #13 Duke in OT and to Vic Shaeffer's #5 Texas team 80-73 in a close game, and they were without one of the best bigs in College basketball in that game Raegan Beers against Texas (she did play last night against us and had 19 pts 10rebs). They've beaten #22 Louisville, #20 Michigan and #15 Tennesse at Tenn and a good UNLV in Vegas so those girls can play.
That's what made me so mad about our two blowout losses to UK and S. Carolina, because we've played and beaten some really good teams this year. We also have a pretty dang good roster, there is no way we should get blown out by anyone. We play @Georgia next and that is a winnable game so we should be back at .500 in the SEC after the weekend.

So you know more about the women's game than I do, how good is the SEC compared to the rest of the conferences? Is it like the men where every game is going to be tough and road wins are basically like winning 2 games?

I enjoy being able to stream the girls sports. I watch soccer, basketball, and softball. They represent State, and some of our posters on here act like their dicks are being cut off by supporting the women's sports.

Good question, I would say it's very competitive but not quite as competitive as the SEC Men's games. For instance I would expect us to beat the current bottom half of the league right now in Women's basketball but as we all know in the Mens games there are no nights of. I wouldn't say that is the case for the Women, there are about 5 or 6 teams on the Womens side I expect to beat....that being said it's still the SEC so anything can happen.

A bunch sure cared when we lost on the road to a better team we historically struggle with. They were loud as hell about that. Board deserved a shot back after how shitty some were to purcell / the team in that thread. I stand by my comment and if it offends you, you're the baby.

Then why take the time to come on here and even respond? That old bravado of Men not giving a damn about Womens sports is played out. If I'm not interested in a topic I don't engage myself in that topic, so why even make the post?

I'd care more if Purcell hadn't already hit his ceiling as a coach. He's a good recruiter and a so-so coach. He's not going to ever compete for titles.

Dont remind me. **** Notre Dame. **** those refs. (I understand next to nothing about soccer rules, but if it's Mississippi State - I'll support em)

Always appreciate your takes NCMSTFAN.
There's plenty of people I don't agree with in the Mississippi State fanbase.
I'll never let that stop from celebrating great accomplishments by fellow bulldogs. And I'm totally fine with stirring a hornet's nest to help give them recognition that they deserve. These women beat a top 10 team. Anyway you slice it - that's ****ing impressive.
And it's especially egregious that we had people in a couple of 5+ page off topic threads make comments about protecting women's sports. Those certain people are absent from this thread - showing how much they actually do care about women's sports.

Yes. It's more Mississippi State content. And while I want them to be better, the Women's team does play hard nosed Mississippi State ball. Easy to support them.

Our win over Georgia was needed. Good to not have a letdown in that spot.
Auburn / Mizzou / Ark / Georgia / Aggy / Florida are the six we need to for sure not lose to in SEC play. Looking like we'll have 10 teams in the bracket and those will be the 6 on the outside imo. We get Auburn as our only double dip game. 8-8 would get us in the tourney for sure. (21-9).
Big opportunities this week. @ Tenn would be an amazing steal, but I'm sure we'll have a real active post if we lose. Sunday against OM would be a big momentum for the fanbase decider.
And yea, I'd love nothing more than to beat Texsa towards the end of the year.

I will be very interested to see the reception Vic gets. People in Starkville still act like he and his family walk on water so I am sure he will get a bigger ovation than anyone on our team. Hell I would bro be surprised if some “state” fans were cheering for Texas that day.
